Nik Sherriff Bowen Therapy Bowen is a gentle, hands-on therapy that eases pain and encourages the whole body to heal.

It is in this condition that the body is most readily able to repair itself &, in the case of children, to grow. Deep relaxation, rather than it’s opposing ‘fight or flight’ state, allows the brain to connect with what the body is experiencing and choose which prompt’s, (moves made by the therapist), to give due consideration or conversely, to reject. The body will always want to work as efficient

ly as possible and we put allsorts of pressures on it with bad habits, poor posture, injuries and so on. It is the therapist’s role to instigate awareness and opportunity for the brain to connect with and best decide which areas of the body it wishes to address, rather than enforce any change a therapist may deem necessary.
