We created this fact sheet for our group last night which gives some key information and statistics around the safety of home birth.

Itโ€™s quite small but we wanted to share it here, we have copies of this for those that attend to take away or we can send it over to you upon request.

We hope itโ€™s useful in your decision making around your choice of place of birth ๐Ÿ™‚

Our first group last night was great!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

So great to see some couples thinking of home birth or in the process of preparing for one.
We had great discussions around the safety of homebirth and busted a few myths with evidence based information shared by Yvonne (Director of Midwifery) & Sally (Lead Midwife for the LMNS).

We also had Louise (Community Midwife on the Brigg team) come along to share her experience of supporting home birth and show everyone what goes into her home birth bag that she brings to a birth which was really helpful to see. We also had a birth pool for everyone to have a look at too.

It was also great to see birth partners there and to answer their questions and worries and we had a discussions around practical things to help them prepare too, in attendance also was Matt (Birth Partner Lead for LMNS) for some support.

We finished the evening with a positive home birth story shared by one of our attendees which was lovely ๐Ÿฅฐ

We canโ€™t wait to welcome you along to the next group, 17th July in Scunthorpe (venue to be confirmed).

Thankyou all who came and made it a successful evening ๐Ÿ˜

We canโ€™t wait to welcome you all to our first group this eveningโ€ฆ.

7pm at Barnetby Le Wold Village Hall - all are welcome!

In this first group we will be looking at myth busting about the safety of homebirth, which is a common worry for many, and have put together a fact sheet with evidence based information.

We will also be inviting anyone who wants to share their story & experiences of homebirth.

We will have a birth pool set up to view and a home birth kit from one of the community midwives so you can see what sort of equipment is usually brought to a home birth.

See you there ๐Ÿ˜Š

Further dates will be available as soon as possible (we are working on venues!) but the next one after this will be on 17th July in Scunthorpe (we plan to hold one every other month in various areas across North AND North East Lincs, including Louth).

Thankyou for your support so far & please give this a little share ๐Ÿ™‚
