Occupational Therapy Surrey has been providing safe robust solutions to clients living in and around Surrey for the last year.
We get asked for all sorts of solutions to make everyday tasks easier and safer. Including ramps, hand rails, grab rails, turning baths into accessible showers, seating, mobility aids, kitchen aids and things like "how do I make this house as safe as possible to prevent my relative falling" or "how to keep someone with dementia safe but retain their freedom"
We value transparency so are happy to tell you that £150 will get you a home assessment and detailed report weighing up all the possible solutions. The best bit - we operate a 3 week turn around time as we know the longer a problem persists the harder it is to overcome.

Making do with a lesser alternative is not necessary. With the right input from us, we can help you to logically adapt or adjust the room so it is fully accessible regardless of climibng into a bath being difficult.
We will help you understand the most appropiate alternative including aids and converting baths into level access showers or wetrooms.
We consider every aspect including making sure the controls are within reach, seating is available and grab rails present where necessary to prevent a fall.
Noone wants a drama when it could be really simple to meet your personal hygiene needs and get on to far more meaningful activities.

Many people have no idea what an occupational therapist does. We help people with essential tasks they have to do by adapting their environment and the task so they can do it efficiently and safely. This frees up the individuals time to engage with things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

We get asked about mobility aids, access through doors and steps, personal care, toileting (especially overnight), dressing, food (carrying it about and preparing it), and get up and down from beds, seats and out the car.
