A big thank you to all my patients this year who have entrusted me with their injuries. It’s often overlooked how much it takes to ask for help with anything in life and help with an injury from a private physio is certainly no exception, especially in a country where “free healthcare” is often encouraged over private.

I have aimed to provide a timely service where patients aren’t waiting months for an appointment with a QUALIFIED, REGISTERED physiotherapist. Where they are afforded plenty of time to be listened to, understood, thoroughly assessed and treated FACE TO FACE.

I will continue into the New Year with these same values as I believe this is what everyone who is suffering from injuries that are affecting their quality of life deserve.

Fortunately all my sessions, (unlike most clinics) are between 45 minutes to 60 minutes in duration affording plenty of time to tell your storey, accurately diagnose and effectively treat.

However, it’s still always best to be prepared and having some of this information to hand will ensure you get the most value out of your physio session 😊.

All too often I hear my patients describe past experiences where they have been criticised for searching for answers and advice on their injury online.

“DONT TRUST DR GOOGLE” seems to be a common response they receive.

At a time when appointments take months to happen and are regularly cancelled and re-arranged it’s only natural that people are going to try to gain an understanding of what is wrong in this way.

At JC physio your attempts to understand, and take accountability of your injury or condition will ALWAYS be celebrated. Although not all information out there is accurate, the first step towards recovery is always the attempt to understand what is wrong and how it can be resolved.

It’s my job thereafter to respectfully advise you, clear up any misconceptions and give you clarity and confidence on your journey to recovery!.

“I need a scan for peace of mind”….This is a statement I regularly hear from new patients suffering with back pain. Thankfully, 95% of the time a scan is really not necessary.

A physiotherapy assessment can give you this same reassurance in a fraction of the time and save you weeks in limbo on a waiting list, not to mention unnecessary NHS appointment’s and time out of your busy schedule.
