We’re proud to be entering the next phase of work as their Architects — a relationship that now spans over 25 years. Over that time, we've worked together on everything from small-scale improvements to major new facilities in Bicton and Apley (Telford).
It’s been especially rewarding to revisit the Community Services Building — a space primarily designed for the community — and see the surrounding gardens maturing beautifully. These spaces are not just buildings; they’re part of the care environment that supports patients, families, and the hospice team.
Our latest scheme is a further extension to provide enhanced patient care accommodation, currently under construction by E Manton Ltd of Birmingham, with completion expected later this year.
Yesterday’s work included a full drone survey of the remaining roof areas as we begin detailing for replacement and recovery — the next chapter in this long-term collaboration.

🚧 We’re just under halfway through the construction of a brand-new warehouse for Hayley Group HQ in Halesowen, with A&H Construction & Developments Plc.
🏗️ The development includes:
- New 40,500 sqft warehouse bring total for the site to c130,000sqft
- 25,000 sqft of modern office space spread across three floors
- An additional 30,000 sqft of warehouse mezzanine arranged over two storeys
☀️ The roof is set to be completed within the next two weeks, after which approximately 450 photovoltaic panels will be installed. These panels will generate around 240KWp of solar energy, facing directly south—resulting in an estimated annual saving of 90,000kg in CO₂ emissions. With still plenty of space for expansion.
📐 This is a traditional contract with Gould Singleton Architects appointed as Architects, Project Managers, Principal Designers for CDM, & Building Regulations for both Shell and Fitout Phases

🏡 One of our long-standing specialisms is the design and delivery of bespoke private residential dwellings tailored to our clients’ visions.
📍 We successfully secured planning consent for a new home located within a Conservation Area, adjacent to a Grade I listed park and garden—also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This marks the fifth dwelling we’ve gained approval for in proximity to this remarkable 18th-century parkland in the Black Country, Dudley.
🔄 Following initial approval, we returned to planning to revise the garage design, making more effective use of the site’s natural topography. The dwelling has also been enhanced to incorporate the roof space, further maximizing its potential.
📐 Now commissioned to complete the detailed design package ahead of works commencing on site

Having secured detailed planning permission for the scheme, we are now well into the detailed design stage in preparation for the commencement of works on a new Drive-Thru facility and Restaurant in Erdington, Birmingham. Construction is scheduled to begin before the end of the year. The scheme will also include multiple EV parking bays. We are acting as Architects and Lead Designers, as well as undertaking the Principal Designer BR role under

We're working with Living Heritage and Eutopia Homes in Exeter for a new development delivering 53 Apartments which are nearing completion in the next few weeks.

We have used our experience of using LGSF from HadleyFRAME, clad with traditional brickwork over 5 levels. This is one of two projects for Living Heritage & Eutopia in Exeter with the second just behind in the distance which is a further 92 apartments.

Initial Phase of New Warehouse project in Halesowen started in July ahead of the main build which starts at the end of the year.

The groundworks package involves over 270 - 600mm diameter piles to be sunk to 10m into ground to allow the 14,000 cubic metres of soil to be taken away by up to 4m deep for a new 42,000sqft high bay warehouse to be erected supported by a new staff car park.

Within the new warehouse will be 22,000sqft of new offices over 3 floors and another 38,000sqft of mezzanine storage over two floors. Gould Singleton Architects are acting as Projects Architects, Project Managers, Principle Designers for CDM and Building Regulations.

Accessed from Dog Lane, a new mixed‐use development on the former fire station site within Bewdley Town Centre provides a new 4,500sqft retail store at ground floor and six apartments at first floor.

The apartments at first floor take advantage of all four elevations with new openings and Juliette balconies to living accommodation. The apartments further benefit from dual aspect layouts which provide natural daylight to the habitable spaces.

Working for the RSPCA Stafford, Wolverhampton and District Branch, we are pleased to have secured planning permission for new cattery facilities. The new development is in works with conjunction with South Staffordshire College.

Current facilities are currently outdated, with the new proposals providing a sustainable and much improved cattery facility that will benefit the local community, meeting the demand for high welfare requirements of animal care within Stafford and its surrounding areas.

Planning permission has recently been secured for a new convenience store with associated parking along Hednesford Road, Cannock.
The currently vacant site, once previously occupied by a petrol forecourt station will be developed into a new facility benefiting the local community and surrounding area.

Gould Singleton are pleased to be working alongside Halesowen College as project architects for expansion of curriculum facilities near Halesowen town centre to the existing Trinity Point building.

The seven-storey east wing of the 1970s office block will now be refurbished

We are pleased to have now secured full planning permission for a major new scheme in Halesowen for one of the Towns largest employers. Gould Singleton have acted as Project Managers and Project Architects and have now received instruction to take the scheme forward to detailed design and obtaining tenders for the scheme which is expected to be up to £7m construction value.

Our approach with the Local Authority, Local Businesses' and adjoining neighbours was transparent from the outset and started with a Public Forum in July 2022 where interested parties could view and comment on the proposals.

Work is planned to start at the end of the year

Successful planning was achieved last year at the Site of former St John's Garage, Bungay, to provide the construction of two-storey building to provide Class E retail unit at ground floor with 5 no. Class C3 residential units above; alongside ancillary car parking and servicing area.
