Yesterday marked my official final day working as a physiotherapist.
I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the years we’ve had a blast.
Grateful thanks to all my patients some of whom have now become close friends.
I’ve loved working in private practice having the freedom to spend the appropriate amount of time to listen to patients and help with their problems.
My family deserve the biggest thanks for putting up with long hours.
Mark has been my rock, encouraged me to purchase Heath Mount with Jim and when that came to an end encouraged me to set up the treatment room both of which were very successful.
So now it’s over and out.

Well today I finally made the decision to retire as a physiotherapist from the end of June 2022.
As some will know already we are selling the house at Northowram and moving to the Yorkshire Dales. Hence I no longer have a treatment room.
I have explored the potential of renting a room but one day a week working doesn’t cover the cost and travel so I have decided it’s time to move on.
I am working until June 30th in the treatment room at home. I have no bookings further into the year and looks likely the house sale will go through in July.
If anyone is thinking of coming please contact me asap and I will happily book you in.
I will be contacting all my patients individually to explain my position.
I have a wonderful young physio who has agreed to take on my clients when I retire I will do a comprehensive hand over with him when the time comes.
Needless to say I have very mixed feelings happy for our future but sad what I’m letting go.
Many of you are as you know are more than clients you are quite simply friends.
I hope we can stay in touch.

Morning everyone. All going well working from the treatment room at home. I’m working Tuesdays and Thursdays once those days are filling up I’m opening up other days.
Planning on working until Tuesday 22 December in the run up to Christmas then back in January 2021.
Appointments can be arranged by phone, text, e-mail.

Update following the lockdown notice.

Morning.
I will be continuing to see patients in my treatment room as we enter tier 3 of restrictions. The advice from Physio First and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is below.
I take all my clients safety very seriously leaving gaps between clients, cleaning down after every client, using appropriate PPE.
