I cannot believe it’s a year today that I picked up the keys to my treatment room ! I’ve only just realised this! I’ve just been reflecting on how much my life has changed in that year.

My day today:
- Two lovely patients at one of whom had never had reflexology before and was blown away
- Two of my regular clients (and a gorgeous review from one of them 🤩)
- An amazing sauna and cold plunge experience with my even more amazing co-founder Leaf Yoga & Reiki for our belated Christmas do !

Feeling all the gratitude right now - thanks to all those who have supported my small business so far - bring on the next year ! 🎉✨🙏🤩

As wonderful as Christmas and New Year can be, if you’re anything like me it’s probably also involved a bit of overindulgence, rich food, sweet treats, late nights, a bit more fizz than usual, very little routine and a LOT of people.

While it’s been joyful and indulgent, you might now be feeling a bit sluggish, bloated, foggy, or out of sorts and bit over peopled. That post-Christmas “ugh” feeling is very real and you’re definitely not alone.

This time of year shouldn’t be about punishment or restriction but about gentle support, helping your body find its way back to balance after a busy, festive period.

Solstice blessings!!

A day of quiet magic….

😶‍🌫️A foggy and atmospheric walk up to Miller’s Grave with and and various others emerging from the mist to watch the ‘sunrise’, warmed by hot chocolate and impromptu poetry.

✨A beautiful and much needed Reiki treatment for a lovely friend

💃Time with my wonderfully energetic child (now definitely virus free and singing about chicken nuggets 🤣)

🕯️A candle-lighting ritual inspired by the lovely to welcome the return of the light

🍷 And a little mulled wine to close the day

I was wiped out last week by an ear infection and virus and had to slow right down. In the middle of that enforced rest I realised I’d missed the one year anniversary of handing in my notice at my old corporate job! …. And therefore also a year of owning my most prized possession- this fabulous bag from …. Bought for me by the equally fabulous as a celebration present for finally ripping the plaster off and taking the plunge !!

It also occurred to me that this is the first time in the (almost) year since I left that I’ve actually been properly ill. It felt like a quiet reminder of how differently I now work and live; with more awareness, more care, and a lot more respect for my body’s signals.

That reflection has also made me realise just how quickly this past year has gone, and how much has actually been achieved in that time. It hasn’t been without its struggles (no sick pay for one!!), and it’s been a steep learning curve. I’ve become the sales team, marketing department, website designer, social media manager, accountant and therapist all rolled into one and in a very short space of time. But despite the challenges, I feel really proud of how far I’ve come and have absolutely no regrets about changing career paths. I love what I do, I’m so thankful that I get to do this work every day and I’m really excited about what 2026 will bring. I’m deeply grateful to every single one of you who has supported, encouraged, shared, booked, recommended, or simply believed along the way. 🙏🙏🙏
