October 2023 - when my training started π¦Ά
I remember being all ready in my uniform ready to drive in to college on my first day, so excited for what was to come. But I didn't realise just how much of an impact my training would have on my life all round. I've always loved reflexology, but doing my anatomy and physiology module (wow that was hard work!) opened my eyes up to so much more. Okay I did fall pregnant again a few months after this photo, but learning about the body, hormones, female health, our nervous systems and more was truly fascinating. Although I managed to scrape by with decent grades at school, I am not academic - but this allowed me to learn at my own pace, in my own way, in my own environment. And for the first time, I felt like I wanted to read and learn again π€ I went down so many rabbit holes, especially towards the end of my pregnancy, writing my essays while sat on a birthing ball overdue and uncomfortable. Everything shifted. I started looking at more holistic ways to approach things, feeling grateful for my body that I'd always criticised previously, realising the true magic healing that reflexology promotes and how much the mind and body work together. So yes, I trained to be a reflexologist - but my training taught me and led me to so much more π«
