It feels like it might be getting to bobble hat season! Mornings are getting darker and days shorter.

Enjoying the new log stepping stones this morning- balancing like a pro. ❤️
Thanks to all who joined me in the garden today, lots of new faces which is lovely I hope you all had fun, please do send over any photos if you’re happy to share. Last Halloween play with spaces on Friday, then I’m fully booked for pumpkin play specials next week!
I think there’s still a spot of two on our afternoon half term Halloween special but you’ll have to be quick!

There was a buzz in the garden this morning when the littles arrived to find the cows in the field… 🐄🐄🐄Disappointingly for the ladies they weren’t invited to play- not that they took no for an answer and rather rudely decided to join in the mud kitchen fun! 🤣
“Silly cows” was the chorus from the littles 😆🙈
What a morning! 🐄🐮

We are going early because that’s how we roll! Get organised and get your Christmas at HGP sorted.
We are very lucky that our lovely HGP Santa is back for another year. Sadly, he has had a really tough year loosing his wife to cancer and we are so very very grateful that he still wanted to join us this Christmas. He’s the best Santa, a very special man indeed! 🎅🏽❤️
We also have 3 winter play specials- 2 hours play time with working her magic for festive shoots at the end of November! You wont get better than a Pixie shot Christmas photo! 😍🎄📸
Regular play dates will of course also be available and I’ll add another post soon to give you the low down on themes- November brings bonfire night & winter play followed by festive play in Dec.
As always there is limited availability on all play dates so please get booked on if you don’t want to miss out!
Don’t forget I’m also wreathing this year, 4 spots left on my sun 23rd Nov workshop and do get your orders in ASAP if you want one made by moi! (Wreathing is my very favourite time of the year!!) phew lots going on down at HGP! Who’s coming to play?! 😅🎄🎅🏼 xx

Hanley Garden Play Halloween has begun! Where spooky isn’t really spooky at all- it’s actually rather boo-tiful! 👻. Thanks to all who came to play this morning!
A extra sprinkling of magic in the garden through October. Lots to explore including petals and potions in the mud kitchen, pumpkins galore and a couple of spiders and friendly ghosts for good measure.

When your pumpkins failed to yield this year but you get an invite to pumpkin patch opening weekend just in the nick of time and now your own patch is complete! 😍🎃
All ready for my HGP littles Halloween play to begin on Monday….

FYI Bennett’s patch will be open through October for all your pumpkin needs, my three loved it! It’s a good idea to get your pumpkins early doors so you don’t miss out on the best ones… we’ll carve ours a little nearer to Halloween though so they last the season! Thank you Stef for inviting us along!

You can’t beat a morning in this garden, a relaxed mornings play- a moment of calm in the chaos.
You can’t bounce off the walls if you take the walls away!
Lucky with time to explore with their friends today. I can tell you they all had the best nap this afternoon!

Did you know my other love is Wreathing? Every year I grow and dry tons of flowers in the garden and forage locally in order to create the most beautiful Christmas wreaths. Unique wreaths that age naturally and last well past Christmas and beyond (I still have mine from last year hanging in my hallway!)
I also love sharing my passion by hosting wreath making workshops. This year to save admin I’m adding my dates to my website where you can book with a deposit and pay the remainder on the day. I’ve gone live with the first date and depending on interest I may add another….
There are just 8 spaces. FYI if you want to book on with friends one person can book the spaces required all at the same time.
Please also let me know if you’d like to order a wreath from me this year!

When you find the littles play has saved you a job! Thanks to the clever little who cleared the apples for me. 🍏
This is the joy of free play here at HGP, I provide the environment to foster imaginative, creative, independent play but ultimately they decide where it will take them. Developing skills and learning as they go…. And well, If the chosen play helps me out with jobs too I’m 100% all for it 😂😂❤️
Who’a coming to play next week? Lots more apples for the picking, but there’s also watering, weeding and hedge trimming in case any little is interested 😋
