HALF MARATHON COMPLETED! 🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏻🥳

What a weekend! After nearly 6 months of training and a rollercoaster of highs and lows, I crossed the finish line in 2h26.

This time last year, I hadn’t even started park run, so to have been able to run 13.1 miles is wild and I am feeling pretty proud of myself!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and cheer me on, it really meant a lot and kept me going!

As soon as I finished, I said never again! But one roast dinner later, I’m already contemplating the next one…

🎉It’s 2025! Happy New Year everyone!

As some of you will know, about 3 months ago I went temporarily insane and signed up for my first ever half marathon!

I’ve always wanted to run the London Marathon, so I figured if I’m not willing to try a half, I’m basically full of s%@!t aren’t I? So when I was asked if I’d like to do it… I said YES! 😱🤪

Before this, I’d never run further than 7K without stopping! And a half marathon is a whopping 21K or 13.1 miles, or, in other words, really flipping far!

Since I’ve started the training, I’ve shared a little about it and I’ve been overwhelmed with the support I’ve received, the tips you’ve been sharing and the overall good vibes. So with 8 weeks to go, I’m going to take you lovely lot with me on the final few weeks of half marathon prep.

I am in no way a running expert and my goal going into this is simply to challenge myself, to cross the finish line and try to have fun along the way!

👟This was such a mental win for me, as I know the full distance is just 5K on top. And I can do 5K! (If we just ignore the first 16 we have to do 😂)

👟We are currently 15 WEEKS into half marathon training and the long runs are getting LONG! It’s been tough sticking to the schedule so rigidly over the festive period but I’ve done my best to ensure I’m still getting as much done as possible, whilst still enjoying Christmas with my family and friends.

Taking photos can be such a useful tool if you are on a fitness journey. When we're in the moment, working hard every day, we don't always notice the changes in our bodies, but as you can see, taking photos 6 weeks apart can show you a BIG difference.⁠

Whether you are trying to lose weight, gain weight, build muscle... this can be a great additional tracking tool to help you stay motivated. ⁠
