👣 Callus build up 👣

The metatarsal head which should be the pressure point and bear weight for the big toe has been displaced on this foot forcing an area of softer skin to weight bear. A bunion has caused pressure on the toes completely altering the pressure points and shape of the foot.

I removed the build up of callus (hard skin) causing much relief to the patient.

Again, something slightly different from what I deal with day to day; damaged toenail removal.

My patient got stood on by a cow, and almost the entire nail was loose, with maybe only 5% still attached.
I removed the nail, dressed the toe and referred the patient onto the nurse for a thorough check, clean and dressing in the days following the nail removal.
The nail will grow back over time.

I forgot to take photos at the time, so thank you to the patient for allowing me to use theirs.

As I say to everyone who enquires about verruca treatment; it’s not guaranteed and it’s a slow process! They can be stubborn and require quite a bit of patience.

Seeing this outcome is very rewarding and fingers crossed it’s prevented any others appearing 🤞🏻
