Our Story
How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become a Life Transformation Coach?
To answer this question, it’s probably best that I share with you a defining moment, and a resulting “compelling story”, that brought me to where I am today – coaching people like you on exactly what to do to find your true essence after losing yourself. That defining moment in my life happened in June 2017.
I had struggled with bad anxiety for seven years. I was married to a man who drank daily, and was emotionally abusive towards me. He often blamed me for everything he thought was wrong about our lives. During the course of our marriage, my anxiety worsened until it was debilitating. The sad part about the situation is because I was so emotionally beaten down, I didn’t have the courage to leave him, and eventually he was the one who left me. After he left, I had hit rock bottom. I stopped eating, I could not function. I felt catatonic, and was constantly crying. I was afraid to be alone and felt constantly unsafe. Finally after a conversation with my landlord who was indifferent to my situation, I realised I had to stand back up on my own two feet. I temporarily moved back in with my Mum, and after a month I had found a new place to live. I increased the amount of yoga classes I was doing per week and started daily meditation at home. This helped me gain more clarity about what were the right next steps for me. During that time I also decided to expand my skills and trained as a reiki practitioner as an additional healing method. A week later, I was in a hospital fighting for my life.
My lung had collapsed, and I was rushed to the hospital. During the initial procedure, I had massive complications and began to bleed out. I was then rushed to London by ambulance to a surgeon who would save my life. I remember lying on the hospital bed before we left for London thinking “I have no idea what is happening, I’m 40 years old, and this can’t be the end of my life”. Next thing I remember was waking up in the ICU, and the nurse told me that I was really lucky because I almost didn’t make it. I thought to myself, this is the turning point and I’m not going to waste any more of my life. I decided to follow a passion and become a yoga teacher once I got out of the hospital. I was no longer willing to waste the rest of the years I have left being miserable. I knew I would somehow change my lifestyle and turn my experience into something that can help other people. I dedicated myself to living my dreams.
