HG Revive

HG Revive Helping you to feel the very best of yourselves by enhancing natural beauty and natural wellbeing I offer therapies to help clients feel their very best.

WHO WE ARE
Hi, I’ll start with a little introduction…HG Revive is a wellness clinic set up and run by myself, Kate Ward, with the support and medical advice of Dr Adam Culverwell. Adam has been a practicing Consultant working in both the NHS and the independent sector for over 13 years. As a practicing consultant Adam is on the specialist Register and regulated by the General Medical Council. My clinical background is as an advanced radiographer with over 25 years experience working in the NHS, regulated by the HCPC. This year has been exciting as I have undergone training to become an aesthetic and wellness practitioner. I have achieved this through the prestigious Dr Hennessy academy, MCS aesthetics academy, CPD with Dr Tim Pearce and of course with training and learning provided by Adam.. At HG Revive our aim is to enhance people's natural beauty and well-being in a professional, safe and responsible manner. HG Revive offer a range of wellness consultations and treatments. Currently specialising in fine lines and wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and vitamin boost treatments. A further range of exciting treatments are planned for the near future. Every initial face to face consultation will be individual with a personalised plan to meet realistic expectations from the treatments on offer. I am confident that my my vast experience working in the NHS with sick, injured and anxious patients along with my super friendly personality will put clients at ease. Having Adam as a supervising Doctor means we can provide your treatment prescriptions required, with further medical advice and support if needed. If the treatment that would be best suited to you isn’t something we do, we can recommend another practitioner for you. As registered medical practitioners we can offer the highest safety standards. I am experienced and able to manage even the most serious (although rare) complications, for example, being anaphylaxis trained through the Resuscitation council and trained in complications of aesthetic medicine. It is very important to know what training your practitioner has, whether their knowledge of facial anatomy and what lies beneath the skin is faultless, whether they are experienced in knowing how to minimise risk and when necessary capable and experienced in dealing with complications, emergencies and reactions. With us, you will be in safe hands, feeling confident that the treatment you chose will make you feel the very best of yourself. Give us a call or message me to make an appointment for a face to face consultation WHERE ARE WE? WHY CHOOSE HG Revive? With so many aesthetic and wellbeing clinics around, why should you choose us?
· HCPC registered practitioner. Aesthetics and wellness remains an unregulated industry and it is hard to know the quality of the services you chose. You can be reassured that we are both professionally regulated. I am regulated by my governing body, the HCPC and Adam by the GMC. This means not only are we experienced in working to high clinical standards but this is a essential requirement of our practice. As an aesthetics practitioner, I am regulated by the JCCP and CRS.
· FULLY INSURED- I am fully insured to perform the procedures.
· TRAINED by medical professionals on accredited training programmes. I have undergone training by multiple medical professionals who are specialists in these therapies. I keep up to date with professional development and new advances.
· PRESCRIBING- Anti wrinkle treatments and vitamins are prescription only drugs which will be prescribed on an individual basis.
· FREE CONSULTATIONS- Face to face consultations are needed prior to any treatments. This allows any concerns, worries or expectations to be discussed in a safe, medical and friendly environment, before booking.
· AFTERCARE- to ensure client satisfaction, I encourage reviews after treatment , either face to face or via face time.
· TREATING POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS- I am trained to treat complications that may arise and I have extensive anaphylaxis training. Some aesthetic practitioners do not have this knowledge, training or often no medical experience whatsoever.
· MEDICAL EXPERIENCE- I have over 25 years experience of working with patients. Providing a high standard of care, safely and ethically is second nature. As a Dr, Adam is available if needed and we, together, will provide safe and ethical care without any pressure.

🌟Cryotherapy-what is it?
Cryotherapy lesion removal is a medical procedure that uses extreme cold to freeze and destroy unwanted skin tissue.
🌟How does it work?
A Cryopen device emits a fine jet of super cold gas under high pressure, enabling the medical practitioner to work with millimetre precision.
The process destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. That means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. It’s so incredibly accurate and practical. The treatment takes a few seconds to a minute to carry out.
Over the next several days, the area may blister, scab, and eventually fall off as healthy skin replaces it.
🌟What is it used for?
Cryotherapy is commonly used to remove any area of skin that is unwanted no matter how small.
Warts
Verrucae
Seborrheic keratoses
Skin tags
Some small benign tumors
Molluscum contagiosum
Hyperpigmentation
Sun spots
🌟Most people feel:
A brief stinging or burning sensation during the freeze
Temporary redness or swelling afterward
A blister or scab forming within 24–48 hours
🌟What is the recovery?
Healing typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on the location and size of the lesion.
Keep the area clean and dry; avoid picking at scabs.
Sun protection is important after healing to reduce discoloration.
🌟Are there risks?
Generally low but may include:
Temporary or permanent skin discoloration
Blistering
Scarring (rare)
Recurrence of the lesion if it wasn’t fully treated
👀All moles, undiagnosed lesions and areas of skin damage must be checked by a GP or dermatologist . At our clinic we have 'Map my Mole' - a private service for mapping skin lesions and receiving a report within 48 hours, contact us for more information. 👀

Cold weather doesn’t just dry your skin — it weakens its defenses.
Treat winter skincare like armor, not decoration.
Cold weather can be surprisingly harsh on your skin. Here’s what’s really going on — and why people notice dryness, irritation, and flare-ups every winter.

What does cold weather do to your skin?
💨Strips away moisture
Cold air holds less humidity. Add indoor heating, and the air becomes extremely dry. This pulls water out of your skin, leading to:
Tightness
Flaking
Rough texture

💨 Damages your skin barrier
Your outer skin layer (the barrier) is made of lipids that seal in moisture.
Cold + wind break down these lipids, causing:
Micro-cracks
Increased water loss
Easier entry for irritants and bacteria
That’s why winter skin often stings when you apply products.

💨Triggers redness & broken capillaries
Cold constricts blood vessels. When you move into warmth, they rapidly expand.
Over time this can cause:
Persistent redness
Visible capillaries (especially around the nose and cheeks)
Rosacea flare-ups

💨 Slows skin repair
Lower temperatures reduce enzyme activity in your skin, meaning:
Slower cell turnover
Slower healing
Duller appearance

💨 Worsens skin conditions
Cold weather commonly worsens:
Eczema
Psoriasis
Acne (from heavy products + dehydration)
Rosacea

Signs your skin is struggling in winter...
Makeup looks patchy
Products burn when applied
Itchiness without a visible rash
Fine lines suddenly look deeper

Medical microneedling , alongside a good home skincare routine, at this time of year can transform dull skin, stimulating healthy skin regeneration, moisture and glow.

At HG Revive, medical microneedling is performed by myself, a medical practitioner. I will advise on the entire journey of micronedling and skincare to ensure you see your desired results.

Rise Above Winter Blues with Vitamin B12! 🌞 During the winter months, don't let fatigue, weakness, and low immunity hold you back! 🤕 The lack of sunlight and indulgence in comfort foods can lead to vitamin B12 deficiency, making it harder to stay energized and focused. 🌟 But here's the good news! By prioritizing your vitamin B12 levels, you can boost your energy, supercharge your immune system, and unlock your full potential! 💪 Additionally, be mindful of increased alcohol intake, which can disrupt your body's ability to absorb essential vitamins. 🍻

Low vitamin B12 levels can lead to anemia, causing weakness, tiredness, and difficulty concentrating. 🤯 It can also cause a sore mouth, and tingling in hands and feet.

But don't worry, we've got you covered!

Reach out to us at Kate@HG Revive or visit www.hgrevive.co.uk to take the first step towards a healthier, happier you! 💕
