Making plans are great to help free up some headspace if you are overthinking and unable to focus. Also try to remember your feel good factors - this is something you and your child identifies that is good for them. It might be something that relaxes you, makes you smile or even a good old belly laugh. It is important to utilise your feel good factors during times of uncertainty or worry.
Feel free to share your feel good factors with us - it might give another person a new idea :)

If you would like to make a referral you can do so through the website below. https://www.hdft.nhs.uk/services/childrens-services/growing-healthy-north-yorkshire/5-19-ny/
Once all fields have been filled in, the referral form should be emailed to children&families@northyorks.gov.uk. If you have any problems, you can call us, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm on 01609 780780. For emergency or urgent situations, please consider the Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Units or the GP Out of Hours Service. More information can be found here.

You will receive an acknowledgement of acceptance, and we aim to see the child or young person within 20 working days. More urgent referrals will be assessed and prioritised accordingly.

Once an assessment has been completed, a child will be offered up to six sessions with a health practitioner. After these sessions, the needs of the child will be reassessed.

The 5-19 Healthy Child Service promotes and protects the health and wellbeing of all children and young people aged 5 to 19.
