We all have a starting point, that moment of clarity or the sudden realisation that things have to change. That moment where we decide to stop burying our head in the sand, pretending to ourselves that we are happy or that being overweight doesnโt really bother us. Because the truth is, it does bother us. We can try and fool those around us, but deep down, we canโt really fool ourselves. The first step to making any positive change is to acknowledge that thereโs a problem in the first place.
My โepiphanyโ moment came in 2011. It was shortly before my sonโs 1st birthday and we had hired a venue for his party. All of our friends and family would be there and I had one big problem - I had no clothes that fit me anymore. My jeans would no longer fasten, my shirts were all far too small. The whole thing just made me feel ashamed of myself. I remember ordering clothes online and having to buy a shirt in 5xl.
A short while after the party, my wife had the photos developed and one particular photo changes everything. A photo of me holding my gorgeous little boy and the sudden realisation that if I didnโt make changes, I wouldnโt be around to see him grow.
That was the moment I held myself accountable, stopped making excuses for myself. No more โIโll start on Mondayโ moments. My journey began that day and now, 15 years later, Iโm trying to help people begin their journey too.
There is nothing remarkable about me, Iโm an average guy, I have a wife and kids and a fulltime job.
I donโt look like a bodybuilder, nor do I want to. You will never hear me use phrases like โshreddedโ of โjackedโ, and I have zero tolerance for the toxic gym culture.
I do not use, promote, or recommend steroids, skinny jabs, or any other pharmaceutical enhancements.
If you want to train to be a bodybuilder or a strongman, if you like taking selfies while you exercise, if you like staring at yourself in the gym mirrors and flexing, then Iโm probably not the coach for you.
However, if youโre committed to change, want to improve your nutrition and feel more confident, I can help you. If you want to lose fat, increase strength and fitness, tone your body and improve your quality of life, I ๐๐๐ help you.
I believe in sustainable habits, realistic goals and progress that fits real life. I understand that this journey is as much mental as it is physical, and support is just as important as structure.
