I’ve been quiet on here this week. It’s half term so I’ve been making the most out of having the girls at home, but I’ve also had to face up to the damage from the leak in the workshop. Turns out it’s worse than I first thought and I’m in a bit of a quandary with what to do about it.

I’ve been searching for a larger, bricks and mortar workshop for over a year, but nothing has been forthcoming. Now I need to decide (and quickly!!) whether to invest my time and money into repairing my current space, or to keep waiting and saving my pennies for a new one - which might not happen any time soon and will definitely come with a hefty price tag. If anyone has any words of wisdom, I would love to hear them… My brain is totally frazzled from thinking about it! For now I’ve had to accept that candle making operations will be returning to the kitchen table for the foreseeable 🤪

All that aside, it’s been a great week of sales, which I am very grateful for. Our ‘high tide’ fragrance has been our bestseller by a country mile - both online and at events. It always makes me laugh when lots of people buy the same thing when I’ve not been promoting it. Have you all been talking behind my back!?

Well that escalated quickly…!

Our create-your-own Hornsea candles have SOLD OUT 😳

They’ve always been incredibly popular but to sell out within 45 minutes is insane!! Thank you so much to everyone that bought one - I will be pouring your perfect EARLEY+DAUGHTERS x Hornsea candles next week and they will be winging their way to you very soon.

I know lots of you are disappointed to have missed out this time round but I promise I’m on a mission to source as many pots as I can for another batch. I’ll keep you in the loop 🧡

In the meantime I’m back at bright and early tomorrow. If you’re in or near Portchester come say hi. I’ve been told the sun will be making a special appearance!! ☀️

Our next batch of create-your-own Hornsea sugar bowl candles will launch at 8:00PM ✷THIS FRIDAY✷ 13th February.

As with previous batches - you pick the Hornsea design and the EARLEY+DAUGHTERS fragrance - and we make your perfect candle!

Poured into original Hornsea sugar bowls from the 1960s and 1970s, these candles offer a 45hr burn time and will be priced at £45. The best bit is that once you’ve finished your candle you’ll have a beautiful piece of mid century pottery to use either as it was originally intended, or in a way that works for you!

This time round we have a very limited number of pots in the Bronte, Saffron, Fleur, Tapestry and Heirloom ranges. If you sign up to our mailing list, you will receive a password to the website to shop half an hour before everyone else (you can do this via the link in our bio).

Key dates:
➕Order book opens on Friday 13th Feb
➕Order book closes on Friday 20th Feb (or earlier if we sell out)
➕Candles will ship on or before Friday 6th March - so in plenty of time for Mother’s Day gifting.

Our previous batches have sold out on launch day and as this is a smaller than usual run of just 20 candles, we’re expecting them to sell out equally as fast. If you’re keen to get one please don’t dawdle once they go on sale!

Your gal is back. Finally!!!💥

I’ve really struggled to get back into the swing of things since the Christmas break. Markets have been bloody hard work and I seem to have lost the ability to string a sentence together when it comes to blog posts and newsletters and Instagram captions. I’ve been sitting on a new fragrance since December but couldn’t launch it because it was nameless…. Until today 😁

This weekend has been EXCELLENT. It’s been brilliant to be back around my maker mates. So much fun, so much inspiration! I LOVE getting out and talking to friends and customers, working alone is hard!

So thanks to everyone that has helped lift me out of the fog this weekend, you are all excellent. And brace yourselves for not one, but TWO new launches over the coming weeks… the next batch of create your own Hornsea sugar bowls are launching on Friday, and our new, mystery, LONDON inspired fragrance will launch next month. Hurray!

Hands up who got one of these smarties egg cups for Easter back in the 80s? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Turns out lots of you did, and seeing them again made you all feel super nostalgic - these retro Hornsea candles were officially our best sellers today!

They may look modern but the batch I currently have for sale are stamped 1986 - that makes them 40 years old this year. FUN FACT: You can tell they’re the original 80s design as they don’t have any blue smarties on them… they weren’t introduced until 1989!

I bloody LOVED chatting about childhood memories with so many of you at today. Thanks to everyone that stopped by! Back at it tomorrow - I’ll be on Heron Square in Richmond with from 10:30AM - 4:00PM. Hope to see lots of you there 🤍

Ridiculously excited about my first monthly market of 2026 this Saturday… It’s like going back to school after the holidays - I can’t wait to catch up with my stall holder pals after two months away!
