I'm the weird thing.

Actually let's be serious for a minute...
People are still being told massage has to hurt to be effective.
It's bu****it and actually super weird that your therapist is trying to illicit pain.
Massage is often uncomfortable, especially if you're dealing with an issue, but if we're trying to down regulate the nervous system to decrease pain signals is CREATING pain going to do that..?
Answers on a postcard

If your therapist is hurting you, please advocate for yourself. Either tell them or just end the session.

The amount of clients I've had tell me a therapist has told them "wow your legs are hairy" "your acne has got really bad" "your posture is awful" and so much more!

Please don't accept this just because you're with a "professional"
It's not acceptable to comment on people's bodies. Thats the full sentence.
No notes.

Please advocate for yourself, either by speaking up or just finding someone new.
