Good bystanders CPR saves lives.

Its been a busy few weeks again supporting industry partners. It was a amazing turn out and the wet weather wanted to challenge us. 🌧 💪 but we prevailed 💪 🌧

We had a few poorly patients, and let's just say we still have 100% ROSC rate. Thankyou to the brave bystanders doing CPR until we arrived.

Great work by all, we wish the patient a speedy recovery. 👊

It is with great sadness that one of our emergency services colleagues has died in the line of duty. 🚔
Our heart goes out the Essex Police officer who lost his life, and the family and friends he leaves behind. 💙

We all do this job with unfortunately a great risk to ourselves, with little protection. We face challenging situations everyday even if it is unsafe, for the good of the public.

Condolences to the fallen officer.

Very well organised and a good team.

Remember to stay safe this firework night, and keep children away from fireworks. If you should be burnt or know someone that is below are some step by step directions to help 🤕⛑️

***Cool the burn under cold running water 💧🚿💦🚰 for at least 20 minutes 🕑***

Why 🤔

Cooling the burn will reduce pain, swelling and the risk of scarring. The sooner and longer a burn is cooled, the less the impact of the injury.

*** After the burn has been cooled, cover it with cling film or a clean plastic bag ***

Why 🤔

This helps to prevent infection by keeping the area clean. Cling film or plastic bags provide an ideal covering because they don’t stick to the burn and reduce pain by keeping air from the skin’s surface.

*** Call 999 if necessary ***

If you can't call 999, get someone else to do it. The burn may need urgent medical treatment. If you’re in any doubt, seek medical advice. Always seek medical advice for a baby or child who has been burned.
