The lovely Emma is joining our Parent Support Group this month on 17th July πΆ
Have you had care with the local SCBU Conquest Hospital Hastings team recently? And have you been to their lovely community monthly group that runs in the fab space of Tesco Hollington?
If not I'd highly recommend it, and this month, on the 17th I'll be there to chat considerations surrounding babywearing - as when carrying a baby, particularly a premie, there is more to it than just 'being small' not only will things depend on yours, baby's recovery, your options will likely be more fixed, to really ensure safety. The good news is with support, carrying with a sling is often doable! Which is fab because it's such a great tool for bonding, promoting growth, plus there are many other benefits too! I'm aiming to be there from start, 1pm til around 2:30pm.
I've worked a few mamas recently and their premature babies, even supporting one mama in hospital. This weekend I'm seeing a little bubba who's recently come home β€οΈ this job is such a privilege, and I love that moment when baby is in the sling as you see that look of 'wow I can't believe I just did that by myself' come the end of our appointment. It is lovely to keep getting referals from this amazing scbu team, so I'm keen to keep in touch, and keep reminding parents that locally I'm available to help you ensure you're doing things safely.
Bring your sling and your questions!
I will most likely be with my little girl, and always caveat her needs come first, she's normally as good as gold, but sometimes trying to hold a conversation can be challenging- in which case you can always message me for further support if needed, my inbox is always open π
Looking forwards to it
