🎥 Armed Forces Day Highlights at Beauchamp House! 🇬🇧☀️

We had an unforgettable day on 28th June celebrating Armed Forces Day with our wonderful community!

From live music by Justin Daish, to a special visit from the Royal British Legion Riders, plus games, food, and lots of laughter — it was a sunshine-filled afternoon to remember.

🌻 Sunflower Setback… and a Blooming Comeback! 🌻

Residents at Beauchamp House recently planted sunflower seeds and were delighted to see them grow into healthy little shoots. But it seems our garden had some unexpected visitors… 🐌🐌

Sadly, the young plants made a tasty treat for a hungry snail or slug, and our shoots disappeared overnight!

Not to be discouraged, our wonderful managers stepped in and bought a fresh batch of plants. With big smiles and green fingers, our residents replanted the raised beds and pots — turning a gardening setback into a new burst of colour and joy in the garden.

Now we’re keeping a close eye (and maybe a few slug pellets!) on our beautiful blooms! 🌿💛

Our residents have been enjoying time on the Tiny Tablet – a brilliant piece of tech that brings games, learning, and entertainment right to their fingertips! 🎮💡

From matching pairs and card games to relaxing sensory apps and even Googling fun facts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s a great way to stay mentally active and have a giggle or two along the way! 😄🃏🌍

🌟 Care South Star Awards - 60s Style at Beauchamp House! 🌟

It was a groovy day at Beauchamp House as our amazing team got into the swing of the 1960s for the Care South Star Awards! 🎉✌️

From flower power to go-go boots, our staff went all out — and even treated our lovely residents to a fabulous catwalk show of their far-out fashion! 💃🕺

The room was full of laughter, clapping, and a whole lot of love — our residents absolutely loved it! ❤️

🧩 Jigsaw Joy at Beauchamp! 🧩

There’s something so satisfying about watching a beautiful picture come together – one piece at a time. Our residents have been enjoying some peaceful afternoons working on jigsaw puzzles, and it’s been a joy to see!

Jigsaws aren’t just a lovely way to relax – they also bring some fantastic benefits:

❤️ 💙🤍 Today we honour VE Day – Victory in Europe Day – a day of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.❤️💙🤍

On this day in 1945, the guns fell silent across Europe and World War II came to an end. We remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who fought for our freedom, and we give thanks to the generations who came before us.

At Beauchamp House, many of those we care for lived through these extraordinary times. We take time to listen to their memories, honour their stories, and share in a moment of national pride.Lest we forget.

🚎A Trip to the Coated Willow Company🚎

This morning, some of our residents enjoyed a delightful visit to the Coated Willow Company for coffee, cake, and a fascinating guided tour of their willow farming and wicker weaving.

A special moment during the visit was watching one of our residents get hands-on, stripping willow like a pro! He used to farm willow himself for various businesses and was able to share his knowledge and experiences during the tour – a lovely exchange of stories and skills.

It was a fantastic outing filled with nostalgia, learning, and plenty of smiles.
