Ninth Wedding Anniversary

When I look back over time,
Back to nine years today.
I remember the two words,
That both of us did say.

In front of our families,
In front of our friends too.
Those two life-changing words,
That was simply "I Do"

Marrying us both together,
For a lifetime of love.
Months before parents,
Got taken by the man above.

I loved you loads then
I love you the same today
Despite our ups and downs,
We've had a long the way.

Nine years of marriage
Blimey, we've been through a lot,
But when push comes to shove
Each other we still have got.

To many more years together,
With each other by our side.
Thank you for saying yes,
And being there as my bride.

If I could do it all again,
I'd choose you every time.
Tweaks here and there maybe,
You'd still be my partner in crime.

I loved you then and I love you now,
And I will do so for many years too.
But right now I want you to know,
Just how much I still love you.
