✨Class Spotlight: Hatha & Stretch Yoga ✨

A gentle and supportive yoga class designed to help you improve flexibility, mobility, balance, and overall wellbeing.

This class is ideal for anyone looking for a slower-paced practice, particularly those who may feel a little stiffer with age or simply prefer a more mindful approach to movement.

We begin with standing postures to build strength and stability, then gradually move to the mat for a series of carefully guided stretches and poses. There are no fast flows or frequent transitions up and down, and plenty of props such as straps and blocks are used to make each posture more comfortable and accessible.

With a focus on breath, gentle movement, and deep stretching, you'll leave feeling stronger, more mobile, and wonderfully relaxed.

🧘‍♀️ Suitable for all levels, including older adults and those with some movement restrictions.

Slow, conscious breathing can help reduce stress hormones, lower heart rate, ease anxiety, and bring the body into a state of rest and healing.

When combined with meditation, it creates space to quiet the mind, release tension, and reconnect with a deeper sense of peace and clarity.

Join me this June for a nourishing Saturday morning workshop exploring simple yet powerful breathwork and meditation practices to help you feel more grounded, centred, and restored.

✨👣 Did you know that your feet and ankles contain over a quarter of all the bones in the adult body?

Each foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments, all supported by the Plantar fascia and the Achilles tendon.

When the plantar fascia becomes overworked, it can lead to pain and discomfort, often felt around the heel.

In my upcoming Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release Workshop, we’ll start from the feet and work our way up through the body using self-massage techniques and deeply releasing Yin yoga postures to ease tension and restore balance. 🧘‍♀️

✨ Yin Yoga Focus: The Magic of Props ✨

One of the beautiful things about Yin Yoga is that there is no need to force your body into a shape.

Props such as bolsters, cushions, blankets, and small Pilates balls can completely transform a posture, allowing your body to soften and relax rather than brace against discomfort.

In this supported reclined butterfly pose, the hips and inner thighs are gently opened while the bolster supports the spine and heart. Pilates balls under the knees help reduce strain in the hips and lower back, while cushions under the hands and wrists offer extra comfort.

When the body feels fully supported, it becomes easier to stay in the pose for longer, allowing a deeper release into the connective tissues without tension or effort.

This posture also has a wonderfully restorative quality, helping to calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and invite a sense of deep rest.
Sometimes the most powerful part of yoga is simply allowing yourself to be held.

Yin Yoga is on the timetable three times each week and is one of my favourite ways to practise. 💛🧘‍♀️

In this Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release workshop we blend slow grounding yoga asana with targeted self massage techniques to help release tension, improve mobility and support overall wellbeing.

We will explore fascia flossing, the use of massage balls and mindful self massage woven into longer held postures allowing your body to soften and unwind on a deeper level.
