The clearanail fungal treatment system is available at Purple Podiatry. Using a small drill to put holes in the affected nail (painlessly) these holes allow a daily spray of anti fungal treatment to pe*****te through the nail and onto the skin underneath.

The allows the fungal infection to be treated as the nail grows back. Multiple treatments may be needed and the anti fungal treatment is included as part of the treatment cost.

So thought it was time that i introduced myself, as the Podiatrist at Purple Podiatry. I'm Andrew and qualified as a podiatrist from Salford University in 2012, however before that I was a Foot Health Practitioner, qualifying to do that in 2008, that now means I have over 16 years experience in foot/lower limb care, as well as being a nurse for 25+ years (sounds scarily long when i say that now) . I do thoroughly enjoy being at the clinic, and am lucky to have so many nice patients that put up with me each time they come for treatments 🤣🤣🤣

I started the clinic in Haydock in Feb 2023 after moving from Widnes as needed somewhere bigger and a change in location allowed a fresh start after the struggles of the pandemic and tiered lockdowns, and have felt welcomed by the patients in Haydock. As i have other skills and treatments i can offer its not just podiatry I do here, I do some aesthetics and also Wellbeing treatments.

Hobbies wise, its not that exciting, I have been cycling to try and get fit - had to restart after falling off and fracturing my elbow but am back on now. I like to read, and visit historical places (ie national trust type places) and have an interest in geneology.
