When worries start to feel loud or heavy, this simple exercise can help you pause and find a little clarity. Take a moment to name the worry, ask yourself whether there’s something you can do about it, and gently choose your next step. That may look like taking action, setting it aside for later, or finding comfort and distraction. 💛

There’s no right or wrong way to use this, just a small tool to support you when your mind feels busy. Be kind to yourself as you move through the season. ✨

This looks to be fantastic for those of you who want to learn more about masking, and unmasking. Jade is based in Cornwall and has lots of useful posts and info - please do follow her to find out more.

Autistic masking has been shown to lead to a host of mental health problems and increased risk of su***de - but unmasking can be even more dangerous, particularly for those who are multiply marginalised. It’s deeply contextual and personal but many of the mainstream narratives don’t take this into account.

There’s a common misconception that Autistic masking is about pretending to be neurotypical and trying to fit in – but the reality is so much more complex.
