Aria Care are looking to appoint Nurse Qualified Quality Support Manager within and around the Surrey area, you will lead, support, develop and maintain excellence in care and model person centred care in our homes, working collectively and collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders within Aria Care. You will provide clinical management expertise across our homes whether the homes are working through a development plan, are in transition, or within business as usual.

Successful launch of eMAR in our homes!

We are delighted to share that our transition to Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) is well underway. We first went live in Scoonie House, and following this success, we have now also gone live in Strathview and Oak Manor.

Throughout this process, each home has been supported by our Quality Team, ensuring colleagues felt confident and prepared to make the change. While there was some initial nervousness, the feedback from teams has been extremely positive, with colleagues quickly getting to grips with the new system and recognising the benefits it brings.

The eMAR system (Camascope) replaces paper-based records with a safe, digital platform. It provides clear, real time information on every resident’s medication, prompts timely administration, and reduces the risk of errors such as missed or duplicate doses. It also creates a full, easily auditable history of medication management, which supports improved compliance and oversight. Most importantly, it gives colleagues more time to focus on delivering high quality care rather than paperwork.

We have also found the online support from Boots to be extremely helpful during this transition, providing additional reassurance and guidance when needed.

We are incredibly proud of the teams at Scoonie House, Strathview, and Oak Manor for embracing this change so positively. Their commitment sets the tone for the rest of our homes, and we are excited for all homes to go live in the coming months.

We’re incredibly proud to see Sue Smart, Home Manager at Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common, featured recently in The Carer for her outstanding leadership and dedication to care. 💙

With over 40 years of nursing experience, Sue has brought warmth, compassion, and transformation to Abbeycrest - taking the home from just 4 residents to full occupancy of 70, all without the use of agency staff. Her commitment to creating a supportive and connected team culture is truly inspiring.

From daily garden walks and resident check-ins to celebrating passions (like helping a resident publish her first book of paintings!), Sue brings heart and purpose to every moment. ✨

Today was the beginning of the annual Walstead sports comp. Today and tomorrow we are in teams to compete for the trophy. We kicked things off with Target shooting this morning which was won by Ian who is on team Bakers. Kate won the bean bag throw for team candle stick and Patrick won the carpet bowls this afternoon for team Bakers again. Everything left to play for tomorrow as we take the competition outside.

Another great day at Walstead. This morning a Zumba session with Amalia and this afternoon the boys from Our Amazing Animal World brought Frederick the guinea pig , Elmo the lizard, big Babs, and Jabba the giant bullfrog who caused chaos jumping around. A great Friday .

Joy Across Generations at Denham Manor!

Our home was buzzing with laughter and love as we welcomed Year 3 and 4 pupils from Denham E-Act Academy for a truly heartwarming day of intergenerational fun.

As part of the Happiness Programme by Social-Ability, residents and students enjoyed sensory-based games like balloon popping, fishing, and even a few rounds of air hockey (a resident favourite!).

The day was filled with smiles, shared stories, and meaningful connection - proving that joy knows no age. Music rounded off the celebrations with a singalong of timeless classics, sparking cherished memories for many. 🎶

A huge thank you to the brilliant team at Social-Ability for bringing this wonderful experience to life and supporting the wellbeing of our residents through innovative, inclusive technology.

Happy Birthday to our wonderful deputy Satah!! We celebrated this afternoon in true Walstead style by throwing a surprise party for Sarah. There was a lot of subterfuge, talking in cupboards and secret squirrel activity going on in the build up to this afternoon. We got Sarah good and proper with the surprise and also with Walsteads very own take that tribute act…….. What’s that??? . The icing on the cake was the cake itself made by our super talented Kelsey. Thank you to everyone for making this special celebration possible .

We were delighted to have the Mayor and his Deputy attend the Meet the Manager at Walstead Place session. Thank you to all that came it was a very wonderful event!

On Thursday 19th June, Walstead Place Aria Care opened its doors for a special Meet the Manager evening, inviting guests to enjoy a relaxed Cheese and Wine reception while getting to know the new Home Manager, Steve Fullick.
