Health Visitor turned Health Coach supporting you & your family to eat well, live well & feel well.
I live in the west of Scotland with my husband, 2 grown up children and my dog. Before RA arrived in my life I was a Health Visitor, working in my local community, then in 2015 suddenly my joints began to swell up and over the next few months I got increasingly sicker. I was diagnosed with RA and got a lot worse before I got better, resulting in my retirement from nursing 18 months later. It was a really horrible time, but I got better.......
Biologic drugs played a huge part in my remission, but so did mindset, diet, gut health, movement and managing stress. In 2019 I retrained as a Health Coach and I am passionate about sharing my experience to help you enjoy a life of less pain, brain fog and fatigue. Showing you how to make living an anti inflammatory lifestyle simple.

Simple lunch today.
Found onions, garlic, sprouts, mushrooms and kale on the fridge.
Fried them in olive oil then added 1/2 cup quinoa and topped with smoked salmon and sesame seeds.
Made enough for tomorrow and that will be topped with leftover roast chicken.

WORKSHOP - INTRO TO GUT HEALTH
NEXT WEDNESDAY 30th AUGUST 6pm - 7.30pm
Gut health refers to the balance of microorganisms that live in our digestive tract. When these microorganisms are out of balance, it can lead to a variety of health problems such as gastrointestinal issues and weakened immune system. Therefore, it's essential to maintain a healthy gut to improve overall well-being.
In this workshop, we'll dive deeper into the importance of gut health, the factors that affect it, and the steps to maintain it.
We'll explore how our diet, stress levels, and lifestyle choices influence the gut microbiome and what we can do to support it.
Participants will learn about the benefits of probiotics and prebiotics, the role of fiber in gut health, and how to incorporate them into their diet.
£5 (Refunded on attendance)

Hi, I am Gillian Paterson, Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach (NLC) and I thought I would tell you a bit about me and what an NLC actually does!
About me
Previous to completing my diploma as an NLC I was a nurse for over 20 years working in both acute and community settings and latterly I worked as a Public Health Nurse. In 2015 I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis and as a result had to refocus my mind to prioritise health and wellness. This ultimately led me to retraining as an NLC and Lomond Nutrition And Wellbeing being born.
What does an NLC actually do?
An NLC focuses primarily on personalised nutrition with the additional support of lifestyle and nutraceutical elements to address/prevent the key contributors to lifestyle diseases. I give clients more than just information, I act as an ally who provides clients with an opportunity to take control of their lives by supporting them to make positive, long term sustainable changes in their life.
