Still Learning to Be Free is a gentle bilingual poetry collection for those healing after leaving a high-control religious environment.

Written from lived experience and rooted in a quiet Christian spirituality, these poems explore spiritual trauma, grief, identity, and renewal with compassion and grace. They are not written to debate doctrine, but to offer rest, reflection, and a safe space to reconnect with God beyond fear and control.

Each poem is presented in English and Italian, making this book especially suited for slow reading, prayerful meditation, and personal healing.

This collection may resonate with readers who:
Are recovering from religious or spiritual trauma
Have left a high-control faith or cult-like environment
Still believe in God but seek gentle, non-authoritarian Christianity
Appreciate contemplative, reflective Christian writing
Are bilingual in English and Italian

This book is an invitation to breathe, to listen inwardly, and to rediscover faith as freedom rather than fear — one quiet page at a time.

Let' talk about....

Parasites 🪱 love a weak digestive system.

A strong body does not live in fear — it lives in order. 🌿

God designed the body with intelligence and balance.

When digestion is weak, the body becomes vulnerable —
not because something has gone wrong,
but because the terrain is out of alignment.

📖 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
— Hosea 4:6

Traditional cultures didn’t panic about parasites.
They strengthened digestion through food, bitterness, and simplicity.

Because parasites are not the problem —
weak digestion is.

Low stomach acid.
Poor bile flow.
Sluggish bowels.
High sugar.
Imbalanced gut bacteria.

This is the environment parasites love.

But when digestion is strong:
• stomach acid destroys eggs
• bile breaks down invaders
• enzymes dissolve protective coatings
• healthy bacteria crowd them out

📖 “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
— Psalm 139:14

This is not about “killing parasites overnight.”
It’s about restoring what God already placed within the body.

Traditional foods used gently include:
🌿 Raw garlic (not cooked)
🎃 Pumpkin seeds
🌱 Bitter greens to stimulate bile
🍃 Papaya seeds (not the sweet fruit)
🫙 Fermented foods for microbial balance

Form matters.
Timing matters.
Dose matters.

Papaya seeds ≠ papaya fruit
Oregano herb ≠ oregano oil
Raw garlic ≠ cooked garlic

Nature works with wisdom — not extremes.

📖 “The Lord has created medicines from the earth,
and a wise man will not despise them.”
— Sirach 38:4

The body heals when we remove what weakens it
and supply what strengthens it.
Sugar weakens.
Bitters strengthen.
Processed food burdens.
Simple food restores.

📖 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
— 3 John 1:2

No fear.
No panic.
No harsh cleanses.

Just wisdom.
Order.
And nourishment.

🌿 Strengthen the terrain — and the body will do the rest.

Fibromyalgia in Men: Healing Through the Body, Not Against It

Fibromyalgia in men is often misunderstood — not only by medicine, but by men themselves.

From a holistic and psychosomatic perspective, fibromyalgia reflects a nervous system under constant pressure, often shaped by years of emotional suppression, responsibility, and survival mode.

Healing does not require “pushing through pain.”
It requires re-educating the nervous system to feel safe again.

This is where body-based therapies become essential.

Metameric Massage: Releasing Stored Stress

Metameric massage works along the spinal segments (metameres) that connect muscles, organs, and the nervous system.

For men with fibromyalgia, this approach helps:

Calm an overactive sympathetic nervous system

Release deep muscular guarding

Unwind stress stored along the spine

Improve organ–nerve communication

Reduce pain without force

Many men respond well because this work is physical, precise, and grounded — not abstract.

Magnesium Malate: Supporting Muscles & Energy

Magnesium is essential for muscle relaxation and nerve signalling.
Magnesium malate is particularly useful in fibromyalgia because:

Malic acid supports mitochondrial energy (ATP)

Helps reduce muscle pain and cramping

Supports fatigue and mental clarity

Aids nervous system regulation

Low magnesium is common in chronic stress and pain conditions. Replenishing it helps the body let go of constant tension.

(Always consult a practitioner if taking medication.)

Reflexology: Resetting the Nervous System

Reflexology works through specific points on the feet that correspond to organs, muscles, and nervous system pathways.

For men with fibromyalgia, reflexology can:

Activate the parasympathetic (“rest and repair”) response

Improve sleep quality

Reduce pain sensitivity

Support emotional release without talking

Restore body awareness and grounding

It allows the body to process stress without needing to relive it mentally.

Why This Approach Works for Men

These therapies:

Work directly through the body

Avoid forcing emotional disclosure

Restore control and trust

Reduce pain at the nervous system level

Support strength through regulation, not endurance

This is not weakness. It is precision healing.

Fibromyalgia is not your body failing you.
It is your body asking for a different kind of strength.

🥣 Healing Coconut & Root Vegetable Soup

(Gentle, warming & nourishing)

I made this soup to support recovery after a stomach bug — it’s soothing, anti-inflammatory and deeply nourishing.

🌿 Ingredients

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 medium butternut squash, peeled & cubed

1 Red onion, pealed and cut in half

3 medium chopped carrots

1 large sweet potato, peeled & cubed

1 red bell pepper, roasted and peeled

1 tin full-fat coconut milk

1–2 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tsp ground turmeric

A pinch of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Sea salt, to taste

Water or vegetable stock (enough to cover)

🍲 Method

1. Heat the coconut oil in a large pot over gentle heat.

2. Add butternut squash and sweet potato, stir to coat.

3. Pour in water or vegetable stock to just cover the vegetables.

4. Simmer gently until everything is soft (about 20–25 minutes).

5. Add the roasted red pepper, ginger, turmeric, cayenne and coconut milk.

6. Blend until smooth, or leave slightly chunky if preferred.

7. Season with sea salt and warm through gently — do not boil.

🤍 To Serve

Serve warm with:

Slices of sourdough bread

Ancient grains (spelt, einkorn or similar)

Perfect for rebuilding strength, soothing the gut and restoring digestion.

🦠 Super Flu Season Is Here — Strengthen Your Immune System Naturally 💪🌿

Every winter we hear about “stronger flu strains,” but what really matters is how strong your immune system is.
Here are evidence-supported tools used by many holistic practitioners to help the body defend itself:

🍊 Vitamin C (Ascorbate)

Linus Pauling famously promoted higher vitamin C intake for immune resilience.
General guidelines often referenced in his work:

Children: 250–1,000 mg daily (depending on age)

Adults: 2,000–6,000 mg daily (in divided doses)

During acute immune stress: Many people increase to bowel tolerance (but talk to a healthcare provider if you’re on medication or have kidney issues).

Ascorbate forms (sodium or calcium ascorbate) are gentle on the stomach and well absorbed.

🛡️ Zinc — The Viral Replication Blocker

Zinc is essential for immune cell function and is known to inhibit viral replication inside cells.
Helpful forms:

Zinc picolinate

Zinc citrate

Zinc acetate (often found in lozenges)

Do not exceed 40 mg daily long-term unless supervised, as too much zinc can disturb copper balance.

☀️ Vitamin D₃ — 1000 IU Is NOT Enough for Most People

Many adults need 4,000–10,000 IU daily to reach optimal blood levels (again, testing is key).
Vitamin D must be paired with Vitamin K2 (MK-7) to support proper calcium metabolism and protect arteries.

💡 Low vitamin D is strongly linked to weaker immune response during winter months.

🌿 Herbal Defenders: Echinacea & Astragalus

These two are classic immune allies:

Echinacea: Supports immune activation during acute phases.

Astragalus: Strengthens immune tone long-term and supports vitality in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Best taken as tinctures for rapid absorption.

🔥 Cayenne Pepper — The Fiery Booster

Never leave home without it!
Cayenne increases circulation, supports lymphatic flow, and helps deliver herbs and nutrients more efficiently throughout the body.

Just a tiny pinch in warm water or added to a tincture dose can be a powerful kick.

✨ Final Reminder

Natural remedies can strongly support wellness, but they’re not a replacement for medical care — especially if you have underlying conditions, take medications, or are immunocompromised. Always check compatibility with your doctor.

Stay strong, stay supported, and keep that immune system ready for anything. 🌿💥
