I adore my job so much! ❤️❤️❤️
💕Today in yoga, we practiced self love and self soothing and how to respond to someone else who is angry, upset or sad. We gave ourselves massage, we looked after our tired, cross, angry, sad teddies and we lent back on each other’s backs to offer support and feel supported by our friends. We talked about holding, rocking, breathing, and saying kind words. We agreed that offering food and drink is not necessary when a child is upset, but focusing on calming and soothing is always the number one. We distinguished between being hungry, thirsty, tired, or just upset. We were very careful after yoga to go gently to the next activity because when a child’s body is so full of happy, feel good love hormones it can feel very painful for that gentleness to be withdrawn.
