Last night at Pershore Abbey for Vocal High's Candlelit Winter Warmer Concert. Double bass, accordion, keyboards and harp accompanying these incredible vocals to Hildegarde's "Karitas".

It was an enormous privilege to play my harp at my friends' Hand Fasting wedding within Boscawen-un stone circle near Lands End. Two beautiful souls literally "tied the knot" in the most moving ceremony which will stay with me forever. Thank you for the honour of sharing your day💕

A first for me today! As a volunteer Harp Therapist at St Michael’s Hospice I joined forces with their volunteer Art Therapist, Rachel, Taylor Abbots. I played therapeutic harp music while the participants were invited to create a painting to translate how the music made them feel, or what they may be visualizing. The paintings were astounding, showing a consistent theme of nature – water, fish swimming, swirling patterns, floating clouds, the wind blowing trees, flowers swaying, a windswept moor and butterflies flitting around flowers. I was then invited to play back interpreting these paintings musically (gulp!) but I was amazed at how these paintings guided me to do this when I just let go of any need to try too hard. I can’t wait to do this again…thanks to SMH for giving people the opportunity to be involved in this today.

Had a couple of lovely recent events with my harps. Last night offering relaxing harp therapy at Hereford's Clear Space Studios to such a lovely, receptive group! ... and today at Lyde Court at its Health and Wellbeing event - very supportive stallholders there giving me some great ideas about taking things forward! x❤️

Free Event at Lyde Court! I will be taking 3 harps to this Health and Wellbeing market on Saturday 2nd August to demonstrate harp therapy alongside some lovely stalls. Do pop by if you can as it is an amazing setting with loads of comfy chairs and great food with inside or outside seating. It is in a rural location but well worth finding and supporting if you can!

Just a reminder that next Friday 1st August is my free taster Harp Therapy session at Clear Space Studios, King St in Hereford at 6.30pm. Places are filling up nicely, but still some room if you would like to join me. Chairs and mats are provided for relaxation but you can move around to the sounds too if that's how it makes you feel! Some of you may know my friends Paula and Chris. They run a choir called “Vocal High” and have released a CD which I have just listened to. I am no music critic, however I need to simply rave about what I have just experienced. How do you make one song out of melding ELO’s Telephone Line with Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman – just pure genius, that’s how! Kate Bush would be wishing she had arranged Running Up That Hill this way ...and the version of Massive Attack’s Teardrop I have no words for actually. But this CD isn’t just about songs we know – other tracks show the diversity and range they are capable of, beautifully delivered by all involved with this choir. 11 out of 10, and no not because they are amazing friends… that is just a bonus.
