πŸ’™πŸŒΈ BMG patients, saw this lovely quote about kindness and just had to share it with you all 🌈✨

You never know what someone might be going through β€” a smile, a kind word, or a small act of kindness can truly make a difference πŸ’•πŸ€

Let’s keep spreading kindness, understanding, and compassion β€” it costs nothing but can mean everything πŸ’«πŸ’Œ

⏰Why do our clinicians sometimes run late? 🩺
BMG patients, we understand how frustrating and inconvenient it can be when your appointment is running behind schedule. We want to offer a little insight into why this can happen and ask for your understanding πŸ™

Our clinical appointments are booked in 15-minute slots and within that short time they need to:
πŸ—£οΈ Discuss with you your symptoms
πŸ’Š Explore any treatments
πŸ“‹ Check medical history
πŸ’» Record all this in your medical notes

As the day goes on, even small delays can build up. Here are a few common reasons:

1️⃣ Complex or distressed patients – Some appointments involve emotional discussions, serious diagnoses, or mental health crises πŸ˜’πŸ’”
2️⃣ Multiple problems – Sometimes patients bring up several issues or remember something important mid-consultation πŸ“
3️⃣ Emergency hospital admissions – If someone is seriously unwell, we may need to arrange a hospital admission immediately and ring for the paramedicsπŸš‘

⚠️ Please know that we can’t explain the reason for delays at the time β€” patient confidentiality is always a top priority.

We do our best to run on time, but when emergencies happen, we must give each patient the time and care they need. Just as we will with you ❀️

πŸ™ Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding.

πŸ©ΈπŸ“‹ Had a Blood Test at Bay Medical Group? Here’s What Happens Next

We understand waiting for results can sometimes feel worrying, so here’s what to expect after you’ve had a blood test with us 😊
βœ… If your results are normal
We don’t usually contact you.
πŸ“± If you have the NHS App, your results will appear in your medical records for you to view at any time.
πŸ“ž Don’t have the NHS App?
You can:
β€’ Call the surgery
β€’ Pop into reception and our team will be happy to give you the outcome. Please be aware our Patient Advisors are not clinically trained and can only read to you what is on your medical records.
πŸ”Ž If your GP needs to investigate further
You will be contacted by the surgery to discuss the next steps.
⚠️ Important to know
Sometimes, blood test results taken during the day may come back later with findings that need urgent review. If this happens, you may be contacted by the Out of Hours GP service in the evening or overnight.
πŸ“± Please keep your phone nearby and switched on after your blood test
πŸ“ž Answer calls if you can β€” this helps us speak to you quickly if important action is needed.
🚨 In rare situations, if we cannot contact you and there is concern for your wellbeing, an urgent welfare check may be carried out, by the Out of Hours service.
πŸ’™ Thank you for helping us keep our patients safe and ensuring we can reach you when it matters most.
