Volunteer Opportunity: Save Whaley Bridge Baby and Toddler Group!
Are You a Passionate Parent or Grandparent in Whaley Bridge?
wanting to make a small difference to the local community? we need you...
We are urgently seeking 3 to 4 Lead Volunteers to help revive our cherished Baby and Toddler Group, which has been a cornerstone of our community for over a decade. Your involvement could be the key to keeping this invaluable space open for new and existing mums and dads,
What We Need:
Several Lead Volunteers who are committed to organizing and running our group sessions.
Availability to help open the group once or twice a month
Help with accounts.
Why Volunteer?
Support New Mums: Provide a welcoming environment for new mothers to meet, connect, and make friends.
Community Spirit: Strengthen community bonds by fostering a space where families can interact and grow together.
Dads Welcome: We encourage fathers to join in, making it a family-friendly environment.
Grandparents and carers of babies and toddlers welcome too. New mums go back to work so soon and we have had several grandparents who come to our group
What We Offer:
Room Hire Covered: We have secured funding to cover the cost of hiring the space, so your role is purely about community leadership and engagement. (funding room hire and insurance for the next term)
A Meaningful Impact: You'll be directly contributing to the well-being and social life of local families with babies and toddlers before preschool.
Who We're Looking For:
Local mums, dads and grandparents with babies or toddlers who are eager to give back to the community.
Individuals with enthusiasm, good organizational skills, and a heart for helping others.

Hi all, I am a hardworking mum of 2 girls and 3 baby angels, I work part time and bringing up two young daughters, I also founder Little Heartbeats and provide free care packs to women who endure this condition. I recently had 3 academic papers published with doctors
Last Year I was crowned one of the Kings Coronation champions for my volunteer work,
So today asking a favour, for my local community to support what we do, we look after women throughout the UK and internationally and have helped saved babies lives.
There are only a few of us who do this, it is done in memory of my first born Sinead who never got to come home
At the moment things are very hard due to a lack of funds coming in, I have a current fundraiser going which is via an app called Collectiv, which I am doing a draw to win 1 pair of Take That tickets (if we get to £500) very close to the target. (£1 to enter) funds raised after costs go towards our care packs, which will help our women and their families.

18,000 WOMEN IN THE UK AND ENGLAND GO THROUGH A PPROM PREGNANCY AND ME AND MY TEAM RUN THIS NON PROFIT ON NEXT TO NOTHING, WE DO NOT TAKE A WAGE.

I have to go and work part time as well as organise care packs and Rebecca is the same as me, we both have families and miss our PPROM babies, we do this work, so you can have a better chance to make informed choices and have a better chance to bring home your babies

We are doing our best, and we are VERY grateful to every single friend, family and supporter who gives and helps us with making it possible we get some care packs but we like to make sure the 18,000 women GAIN a care pack

(which if this is just the numbers for the UK, just think how high this is number is for when we include women in Scotland and around the World )

So YES our work is vital and this fundraiser has happened because it is so hard to raise funds, so we thought it be a fab idea to make sure one supporter gets a fab prize, the tickets are brought we just need one lucky supporter who gives to this pot

it help us provide more care packs

(after costs of the tickets all funds go to Little Heartbeats - PPROM Support and Awareness )
