Please also park safely on nearby roads where suitable.

You may have recently received a communication from NHS England suggesting you may be eligible for a winter 2025 Covid vaccine and to contact your GP practice or pharmacy to book one.

Unfortunately the information used by NHS England to send this communication was outdated and it has meant that some patients who received the communication are not eligible but have been ringing to book a vaccine.

You are only eligible for a Covid vaccine this winter if you are:
Living in a care home for older adults
Aged 75 or over (on 30th June 2026)
Are aged 6 months and over and immunosuppressed (meaning you have a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment).

GP surgeries and pharmacies cannot vaccinate anyone who is not included in the list above. In previous years the eligibility has been broader (for example adults aged 65-74) but the 2025 vaccination programme has been scaled back to a smaller group of eligible patients.

We apologise for any confusion and disappointment this may have caused. #

✅ COVID vaccine eligibility (Autumn 2025):

Aged 75 or over

Living in a care home

Immunosuppressed

✅ Flu vaccine eligibility (unchanged):

Pregnant

Aged 65+

Aged 18–64 with a long-term health condition

Carers

Living with someone who is immunocompromised

Working in a nursing/residential home or hospice

The HPV vaccine is given to boys to help protect against a range of cancers, including head, neck and mouth cancers.

All boys born after 1st September 2009 who missed their vaccination can catch up at their GP practice until their 25th birthday

The MenACWY vaccine helps protect against life-threatening illnesses like and . 💪

It's offered to teenagers in school, but can be given to eligible people up to the age of 25 for free if it's been missed.

🚨 Measles can be a serious illness. More than 1 in 10 children haven't had the vaccine and they need 2 doses to get full protection.

Doses are usually given at 1 year old & 3 years 4 months old, but you can catch up missed doses later.
