It's nearly time for our open day! Will you be there?
On Saturday 25th November, Brooke, our osteopath who runs our pregnancy courses, will be at the open day, and is available to answer any of your pregnancy related questions (although she can't tell you if it's a boy or a girl 😁!).
Hope to see you there!

Our pregnancy courses provide you with a wide range of exercises, for fitness and birth, and help you understand what your body is going through now, as your pregnancy progresses, and as you recover post birth. Feel free to get in touch to find out more.

Hopefully most of you will be able to keep working through your pregnancy. Whether you are desk based, or on your feet, in the car, or manual labour, it is important to respect what your body is going through while you keep working. You may have to cut back your hours as you get further along, especially if you travel or have a very physical job, or adjust your work set up if you sit a lot. Whatever it is, make sure it is right for you. If you are unsure how to adapt your work while pregnant, please get in touch, or come along to our open day this Sat 25th November to have a chat with Brooke, one of our osteopaths.

Your pregnancy journey doesn't finish when your baby arrives. The post pregnancy period is an extremely important part of your pregnancy, and for many parents, the most difficult. Brooke, our osteopath, can treat both you and your baby after birth to help with these, and other, issues. If you would like to know more, please give us a call, or come along on 25th November to our open day to have a chat with Brooke.

Regular check ups when you are pregnant are important. As expectant parents, the ultrasound is a chance to get to see your baby for the first time. Your first visit to your midwife or obstetrician, is a chance to ask questions and find out more about what is happening to your baby. And of course seeing other specialists, such as osteopaths, massage therapist, acupuncturist or a reflexologist, are another place for you to ask questions, and most particularly, have a check up on your own body to find out it is coping with the pregnancy.

A positive pregnancy, is a pregnancy where you enjoy being pregnant, both you and your baby are healthy, and you have a voice throughout your pregnancy.

Two major factors that can help this be possible are:
1) Knowledge; equipping yourself with as much information about what is happening to you and your baby
2) Support; having a team of people around you that you can rely on

Both the team at Ashgrove Health, and our six week pregnancy courses, can provide you with these two important areas, as well as many more. Get in touch to find out all that we offer to support you through your pregnancy.

Feeding your baby. Breast vs bottle?

Whichever you choose, has to be right for you. Not a midwife, or your mother (or your mother in law!), nor the Facebook forums, or the media. Just you. And whatever is right for you, will be right for your baby.
