I had a fabulous time on Monday evening at Earl Shilton Evening WI group (Earl Shilton evening WI) talking about Reflexology and giving a demonstration.

I’m really pleased and proud to say that I’m now an approved RLD practitioner.

RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage) is an award winning technique developed by Sally Kay ( ). It mirrors MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage / lymphatic drainage massage) but applies that sequence to stimulate the lymphatic reflexes on the feet or hands.

RLD was originally developed to support clients who were diagnosed with lymphoedema as a result of having treatment for breast cancer . As well as lymphoedema, MLD is used to treat other conditions . RLD maybe be useful, as part of a holistic treatment, to aid clients with other conditions also.
MLD maybe of use for conditions such as:

Arthritis
Asthma
Chronic Fatigue
Eczema
Fibromyalgia
Headaches
Migraines
Muscle tension
Premenstrual syndrome
Sinus problems

Initial consultation + first treatment = £25
Subsequent sessions:
Hand reflexology = £30
Foot reflexology = £40

Please allow 90 mins for the initial consultation, and 60 mins for all subsequent treatments.

What to expect from reflexology? 👣🤍

Reflexology is a holistic therapy; reflexologists do not diagnose, prescribe or cure.

For Foot Reflexology you will need to remove any foot coverings, and any clothing should be positioned above the ankle as access is needed to the whole foot. You will be reclined in a zero-gravity chair, with knee and ankle support through bolster cushions to achieve a comfortable position. If electing for hand reflexology it’s your choice if you would prefer to sit up right or be reclined. Your lower arms and hands will be supported by a bolster cushion.

If opting for a mobile visit to your home, please ensure that the treatment is planned for a suitable room. Space will be needed for my zero-gravity chair, small table and stool. This ideally should be in a quiet area, so you are able to relax, and on the ground floor of your residency.

All new clients are required to complete a full medical questionnaire prior to treatment, this provides information about client’s needs and must be updated before each session.

The reflexology treatment itself can take between 40 to 60 minutes depending on the type of reflexology being given and my client’s needs 🤍

Hi, I’m Sam, and this is my reflexology journey

I found reflexology by chance. After a varied career in branch banking and head office functions I found that my physical and mental health was failing me. I found that I no longer had the resilience I once had, and I was constantly in a state of stress. I had to take some time out. During this time, I considered what elements of the roles that I had had did I enjoy, and it always came back to engaging with and supporting other people 🤍

A friend had recommended reflexology to me to help with stress, so I had several sessions. After each session I just felt so happy and energised so I started to research reflexology as a career and found that it ticked all the boxes I was looking for. So, I completed a level 5 Practitioner Reflexology Diploma course, with Jubilee College. I feel revitalised by the course and my new occupation. I now want to bring that enthusiasm and knowledge to give my clients the best reflexology experience possible 👣
