At the start of my yoga journey, before I really understood what yoga was, I made many mistakes that I grew and learnt from. It’s all part of the process… 🧘♀️
1. Skipping Savasana because I was “too busy”
I’d follow along online classes and turn it off right before Savasana, not realising it’s the most important part.
2. Treating yoga like a workout instead of a practice
Chasing sweat, not stillness. Forgetting it’s nervous system work too.
3. Showing up with a perfection mindset
Thinking there was a right or wrong way to be on the mat and overthinking alignment over feeling.
4. Ignoring my breath
Following the moves without connecting to the actual anchor of the practice.
5. Only practicing when life felt good
Not realising yoga is often the thing that holds you through the hard seasons.
