We have been making the most of sunshine this week! ☀️

We've put up a canopy and made a designated water station!

The children's gross motor skills have been tested by using a climbing frame on the grass. This has helped the children use their hand/eye coordination and balance when climbing over.

As the children's interest is currently dinosaurs, we have created a natural tuff tray using what we have in the garden. The children have loved hiding the dinosaurs in the foliage and making them STOMP around the garden!🦖

We had lots of fun on St George's Day at Allsorts.

We all had a go at painting a St George's flag whilst we talked about who St George was and how he fought a dragon!

The babies enjoyed playing with red and white playdough, making shapes and squishing it with various tools. The babies also used their fine motor skills to paint.

This week the children have had lots of fun taking part in exciting Earth Day activities and exploring the world around us.

We began by looking at the different planets in our solar system, before the children used their imagination and creativity to design and create their very own planets.

The children also made their own interpretations of Earth using playdough. They looked carefully at photos of the planet and used their fine motor skills to shape and manipulate the dough to create their own versions.

We then explored different habitats around the world, discussing how they vary from one another, which animals might live there, what they eat and the sounds they make.

To finish our week, the children enjoyed a water tuff tray in the sunshine with sea animals in the garden.

A lovely week of learning, creativity and discovering how amazing our planet is! 💚🌍

We would like to say a massive thank you to our wonderful maintenance man Chris, along with Geoff, for all of their hard work in the garden recently!🪏

They have both put in so much time and effort, and the garden is looking absolutely beautiful! Thank you both for your dedication and for helping create such a lovely environment for our little ones to explore and enjoy 💚

🌿🌷 Garden Day at Nursery 🌷🌿

Today we had a wonderful Garden Day filled with hands-on exploration and creativity! 🌱

The children enjoyed exploring a garden themed tuff tray, where they discovered a variety of natural resources. They showed great curiosity as they investigated textures, materials, and how things grow. We also got busy transporting soil into plant pots, helping to develop their coordination and understanding of planting 🌼

Later, the children had lots of fun painting their very own tulips 🎨🌷 We talked together about what tulips look like and the different colours we can see. The children then used their imagination and creativity to create their own beautiful artwork!

A fantastic day of learning, exploring, and creating! 🌸

We are delighted to introduce our brand-new Curiosity Corner. A special space designed to spark imagination, encourage exploration, and inspire a love of learning!

Each month, our Curiosity Box will feature a new theme filled with carefully selected items for the children to explore, investigate, and discuss. From natural treasures to interesting objects, every box is created to capture curiosity and encourage questions.

Alongside the Curiosity Box, we will be planning a variety of engaging activities linked to the monthly theme. These experiences will support the children’s learning, creativity, and communication as they discover new ideas in fun and meaningful ways.

We can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes us! Keep an eye out for updates and photos as we explore each month’s theme together. ✨

Each Story Sack contains a variety of lovely books and fun activities designed for you to explore together, helping to support your child’s love of stories, language, and learning at home. ❤️

Sharing stories is a wonderful way to build imagination, develop communication skills, and create special moments together. We hope you enjoy spending this time reading, playing, and talking about the stories as a family.

The children have been busy preparing their own snack each morning! 🍎🍌

They have been developing their hand-eye coordination as they carefully chop their own fruit, showing growing confidence in their skills. We also enjoyed a group discussion about healthy eating and why it’s important to have a balanced diet.

The children are encouraged to make their own choices about which snack they would like and serve themselves, helping to promote independence.

Well done everyone for your fantastic effort! 🌟

Yesterday, We have participated in an easter bonnet parade with our friends!
We made the bonnets at home with our loved ones and brought them back into nursery to show them off.
All of the bonnets were brilliant!!
Lots of hard work went into them,
