This is an open event, bring your partners and friends. Kids 12years and up who are happy to participate are welcome as well (but we have NO kids overflow)

As always, there’s different pricing options and the early bird price ends tonight.
The earlier you book, the easier it is for us to plan 😉

This event is organised by the Red Tent St. Albans (a mo they open women’s circle) and the St. Albans Mens’s group.

Happy Solstice weekend… we have had Summer Solstice celebrations on our land for the last 7 years or so… it’s the guardians of the Red Tent St Albans, which I am one of, and the Men’s group in St. Albans who hold and organise this. It’s one of my favourite days of the year- a day filled with friends old and new, ritual, games, music, laughter and above all, community. We need this more than ever. In a world that feels more and more fractured and broken, I feel the importance of creating pockets of togetherness, connection to life, reverence for our earth. ☀️ ☀️☀️

42 years of friendship….
From sleepovers to (Turkish) weddings, homework, holidays, family dramas, loss of parents, 5 kids between us, trans Atlantic moves… a lot has happened … and beautiful food has always been at the heart of it, somehow. So glad that you mums love for cooking and sharing food was instilled in you, … and rubbed off a little on me…
On to the next 42 years 🥰

And so, only nearly 20 years later than everyone else, I read ‘s “Eat, Pray, Love” for Ethel first time- and finished the last chapter, well, with view of Gili Meno…. (IYKYK)

I don’t know why I hadn’t read it before- I guess I was too busy with my own version of the storyline- and then with kids etc. - and somehow her other books always seemed more intriguing…

So good to finally be having a holiday where I can actually start AND finish a book.. 🏝️

Yesterday marked 10 years of our Red Tent circles in St. Albans. That’s 121 times that we created a space for women to gather, to sit in circle, to be heard without judgement, to listen deeply, to bring all of us…
We have traversed so much… births, deaths and loss, illness, pain, joy, celebrating each other and holding each other when we needed it most.

Often women feel hesitant to come to their first circle… the subtle mistrust of whether we can truly feel safe with others often sits deep….

For me, I wouldn’t know who I would have become without them. It made a huge impact on every aspect of my life, deeply personal parts as well as professionally. I found my people- it made me feel connected and I didn’t know how much I needed to be in a group of women that was not just made up of -in my case at the time- new mothers.

Red Tents are not for profit, we all do the work on a voluntary basis and we drop the roles we otherwise hold when we gather in circle. It’s a beautiful and precious and much needed movement - and I love how it spreads through the roots around the world.

Yoga Nidra is my most treasured medicine for deep nervous system soothing. It is the most simple (lay down, listen) and nourishing practice I know. Especially for women who can feel their bodies shifting towards (peri) menopause. I’m offering an online practice this Sunday 11th February at 5pm. £15.
