Do you take time to really rise and shine each morning?Β

It is so easy to get caught up in the rush and demands of life as soon as that alarm goes off in the morning. So much to do, kids, work, shopping….. the list goes on. Just like that, as soon as your feet hit the floor, your day has been set and you find yourself on the usual treadmill trying to do everything, be everywhere and please everyone.

So how about we try something new, now I am not saying that it is going to ensure your kids get themselves ready and to school, or that your work will do itself, or your cupboard will magically refill but it will allow you to start your day on a calmer and more positive note.

When you wake, sit up, stretch and then take a couple of deep breaths in through your nose filling your lungs and sigh each breath out completely. Then place both hands over your heart and begin to breathe deeply in and out of this space. As you do, bring to mind things you are grateful for, it can be as simple as expressing gratitude for the heart itself and just allow yourself to connect and be present with this feeling for a couple of minutes. It will create a great foundation to start the day and this practice can be used at any point throughout the day should you need it.

Give it a try tomorrow and drop me a comment below how you found it.Β

World Sound Healing Day is a time when thousands of people throughout our planet create sounds filled with
gratitude and love and project them onto Mother Earth in order to raise the vibrations of all living beings in love
and light through Sound. This sound can be a tone, music, song, poem, even silent soundβ€”as long as it is
created with the intention of compassion and love and healing, and the sounds will resonate with all others
to create a powerful shift in planetary consciousness on February 14, 2023.

There are always hundreds of events on World Sound Healing Day. Last year, events were broadcast from dozens of different countries, and
included Grammy musicians, Tibetan monks, chamber orchestras, sacred kirtans, individual performers, vocal
groups, sound and energy healers and numerous other spiritual teachers, conscious musicians and people,
groups and organizations dedicated to peace and planetary consciousness.

Head to www.worldsoundhealingday.org/current-events to select an event that you would like to
participate in. There will literally be hundreds of possible events occurring, so you might go and investigate
which events resonate most deeply with you. You do not have to attend an event to participate, you can project and create your own sound.

The purpose of World Sound Healing Day is to:
1). Heal Our Planet!
2). Heal Our Waters!
3). Raise Our Consciousness:

We heal the planet, we heal ourselves. We heal ourselves and we heal the planet. We can make a difference.

What's with the cute dog I hear you cry. Well today I am going to encourage you to simply spend time with animals. Interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of stress related hormones and lower blood pressure.

You can even create a mindfulness practice with your pet. When stroking them drop your awareness completely to your senses and really allow yourself to notice the whole experience you are having. Spend a few minutes completely in the moment. The beauty is your petting will be calming to the animal while having the exact same effect on you.

Some pets also love to meditate with their owners. Why not give it a try and let me know how you get on.

Hi everyone, just a post to introduce myself to my new followers πŸ‘‹

My name is Sara (pronounced Sarah just spelt without the β€œh”). I grew up in Cambridge and moved to Essex in 2005 after meeting my now husband while travelling in Australia.

Fast-forward 20 years, we are married with two boys. As well as being a wife and a mum, I am a qualified Crystal and Himalyan Bowl Sound Healing Practitioner, a reiki practitioner, an X-Hail breathwork and meditation instructor and a part-time Legal PA in London.

In my spare time I enjoy family time, spending time in nature, meditating (shock), crystals, all things spiritual, hosting and attending sound baths, a good prosecco brunch, holidays, dancing like no one is watching, connecting with trees (complete tree hugger) and reading a good book (always open to recommendations).

I have been meditating daily for over five years now, initially to help me through grief and trauma. Little did I know how much it would benefit me in every single aspect of my life. My practice opened me up to a more holistic and spiritual outlook on life and I have found such joy in the continual learning and expansion this has created. I am still a work in progress, as we all are, but I can certainly navigate life better these days.

If you don't fancy sitting or lying down, why not try a walking meditation.

Give it a go:

✨ Start off with a slow pace and rest your awareness on your breath and body while you walk.

✨ Let your body be your anchor. Notice the movement of the body, the flow of your breath, the feel of the feet lifting off and landing back on the ground. Be aware of sensations within the body as you move.

✨ When you notice you are distracted come back to the body with no judgement. No matter how many times that happens.

✨ Walk for 10-20 minutes. When you finish stand still for a few moments. Take some deep breaths and notice the connection of the feet on the ground. Ask yourself how you are feeling.

Another way to practice a walking meditation is to allow your senses to be your anchor. Give each sense a certain amount of time. What can you see? What can you hear? And so on.

Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

Let me start with the similarities, when played both types of bowls send out sound frequencies which resonate with your energetic body promoting deep relaxation. These frequencies assist with balancing chakras and encouraging harmony in the mind, body and soul. They both heal and benefit the body in the same way.

The main difference between the two is the sound they give out. I always describe crystal bowls as a more angelic sound, you can feel the notes moving around and within you whereas himalayan bowls are much deeper and grounding and you can feel the vibrations deeply through the body.

Himalayan bowls are also more versatile. They can be played on the body and I even use them to give my clients a "sonic massage".

Which do you feel more drawn to? If you fancy giving either a try or want more information please get in touch.
