Works recently completed for at the Oriel site, St Pancras, London, which will be the new Moorfields Eye Hospital

Independent scaffolding within the new internal atrium void to give access for wall and roof finishes, inclusive of necessary Haki Stairs and Loading Bays.

A challenging scaffold design due to the specific shape of the atrium, differing floor levels, loading criteria, access required for materials, plant and pedestrian movement and the inability to tie the scaffold structure to the permanent works.

Therefore, it will be business as usual as we look to continue our growth and success.

We wish Alice and Grace Davey success in the future.

Winners!

JDC Scaffolding were proud to win Project of the Year (Medium) on Friday night at the NASC - National Access and Scaffolding Confederation Awards, for our works at the Queens Tower, Imperial College, carried out for Russell Cawberry Ltd.

We were especially pleased, as this was the second year in a row that we have won this prestigious award, and the fourth consecutive awards that we have been nominated for our works.

As always, we were up against some unbelievably tough opposition, but the judges thought that our submission, for this technically challenging project, was worthy of the award.

When complete this scaffold, designed in collaboration with RDG Engineering, will be an 83.00m high freestanding tube and fitting structure.

The results were:-

Winner – JDC Scaffolding - (Queens Tower, Imperial College)
Runner Up – D+R Group – (Wakehurst Place, Haywards Heath)
Bryson Scaffolding – Melksham House, Wiltshire
Connect Scaffolding – Pierhead Lock, London

A challenging project carried out for Paye Stonework & Restoration Ltd on Stratton Street and Piccadilly, London opposite Green Park Underground Station.

Difficulties with backpropping led us to an innovative gantry design which was erected Out of Hours, over the entrances to Langan's Brasserie, Henrys Bar and an HSBC bank on the road facing elevations of the building.

The rear of the building, accessed via a live compact service yard, included some interesting party wall interfaces and large bridge spans.
