Dave Otter Foot Care Foot Health Professional in North East Lincolnshire I am a mobile Foot Health Professional operating in the North/North East Lincolnshire and East Lindsey area.

My training has been extensive and provided by one of the oldest Foot Health teaching institutes in the UK. I qualified as a Foot Health Professional with the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead, which has been teaching for 100 years. My clinical training was delivered by experienced podiatrists who have worked in both the NHS and private sectors. The Institute provides continual professional development

to keep their members up to date. Prior to working as a Foot Health Professional I worked for nearly 40 years as a Registered Nurse in the NHS. I am a member of the Open College of Foot Health Professionals (MCFHP) and a member of the British Association of Foot Health Professionals (MAFHP). I am bound by their Code of Ethics and Rules of Association. I am professionally insured, Enhanced DBS checked and trained in medical emergency procedures. I provide a highly professional service where comfort, safety, hygiene and confidentiality are paramount.

Having just spent most of the day in the Emergency Dept (in particular the Same Day Emergency Care Service) I would just like to put a few things out here.

1. The hospital has been subject to some awful publicity in recent years, however the service I received was unbeleivable. I was seen immediately by the Surgical Team and before the morning was over I had both an ultra sound and a Cat Scan carried out.

2. Despite scaring the life out of me (some of the possible outcomes the doctors had discussed with me were, to say the least, Terrifying) the final diagnosis was far, far better than it could have been.

3. My apologies to my customers who I have let down in the last few days. I will contact you as I start working again. The only excuse I had is that I was very ill and, let's face it, men don't do being ill very well!
