There are now Right to Choose (RTC) providers for adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment and treatment services in Kent and Medway, with some providers also providing autism services

Right to choose allows you to select an NHS-funded healthcare provider when receiving a referral from a GP or another designated professional for your initial appointment.

** NHS toolkit for primary school children **

This half-term, the NHS are encouraging parents and carers to use the right health services for their children.

Parents can download the handy guide for five to 11-year-olds, which has useful information about health services, vaccinations, and mental health.

It also has information on medicines to keep at home and common childhood health issues, such as head lice, conjunctivitis, threadworm and strep A.

Major IT outage

The majority of GP practices across Kent and Medway experienced a major IT failure today leaving clinicians and administration teams unable to access patient records and appointment systems.

Please note that patients are likely to experience significant disruption when contacting us. If you are experiencing urgent health concerns, please use NHS 111 or attend an Urgent Treatment Centre or A&E in an emergency.

Unfortunately, even once the IT issue has been restored this outage will continue to impact GP practices for many days as we work to catch up.

NHS are launching a new digital service that patients can use to confirm or change their home address directly with the NHS. This means you no longer need to ask your GP surgery to do this for you.

NHS may well contact you and we would like to provide reassurance for our patients in case you are invited to update your details.
