Meet Your Instructors:
Dr Ffyon Davies – Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine and experienced Expedition Medic. Ffyon has supported expeditions across the Canadian Yukon, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Everest Base Camp, as well as working on tall ships voyages. She is also a member of Longtown Mountain Rescue Team, bringing a wealth of field and rescue experience to her teaching.
Dr Kam Khan – Expedition Medicine and Pre-Hospital Care Specialist. Dr Khan has led medical teams across some of the world's harshest climates, with expertise in managing cold weather injuries, tropical diseases, and medical emergencies in resource-poor environments.
Tom Davies – Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Emergency Medicine and Expedition Medic with a strong background in dive medicine. Tom brings operational insight into the challenges of delivering medical care both in remote wilderness and underwater environments.
Al Reid – Former Training Officer for Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW) and specialist in casualty search techniques, remote rescue, and drone-assisted operations in challenging terrains.
Tom Charlton – Leading snakebite specialist and author of A Guide to Snakes of Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. Tom's expertise in venomous wildlife identification and management is critical for medics working in high-risk tropical environments.
Stuart Ward – Former Combat Medical Technician, seasoned Expedition Medic, and Medical Planning Specialist. Stuart has operated in war zones, jungles, deserts, and mountainous terrain, and specialises in developing medical plans that keep teams safe in the most hostile locations.
