For those who don’t know me I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself…
I’m Jess 👋
I’m 45 years old, and living proof that it is never too late to change direction, rebuild your health, and feel strong in your body again.
For over 20 years I worked as a registered nurse, a career I was incredibly proud of — but also one that came with a lot of stress, long hours and constantly putting everyone else before myself.
I’m also a mum to three boys and a step-mum to three more, so life has always been busy, loud and full-on in the best way.
I wasn’t always healthy.
For a long time I was running on stress, drinking too much and just getting through each day. Something had to change.
Fast forward to now:
✨ 4 years alcohol-free
✨ 14 years into my strength training journey
✨ A complete career change to follow my passion for lifting weights and helping women feel strong, confident and energised again
I made the brave decision to leave nursing and train as a Personal Trainer — and I’ve never looked back.
I’m now:
• A Menopause Coaching Specialist
• Hatton Academy trained boxing instructor
• Currently training for my Level 4 in Strength & Conditioning, including Olympic lifting
My passion is supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, helping them understand what’s happening in their bodies and showing them how the right training can completely change how they feel — physically and mentally.
I truly believe strength training is one of the most powerful tools we have for:
• building muscle and bone density
• supporting hormonal health
• improving energy, confidence and mood
• protecting mental health
• and feeling capable again in your body
✨ Big plans ahead ✨
I’m currently working towards opening a women-only strength studio in April this year— a safe, welcoming space offering:
• 1:1 and Small group strength training
• Classes (including boxing, yoga & conditioning)
• Wellness & menopause workshops
• Structured programmes for complete beginners
• Support for women who don’t feel comfortable in commercial gyms
Whether you’re brand new to lifting, returning after a break, or navigating perimenopause or menopause and feeling “not quite yourself” — this space will be for you.
Outside of the gym, you’ll usually find me:
🎤 Singing (always has been my therapy)
🧘♀️ Practising yoga — which has genuinely transformed my wellbeing
🏃♀️ Running (a newer love of mine!)
✨ And let’s be honest… I cannot live without my make-up and fake tan 🤣
I love the aesthetics that come with lifting weights — but what I love even more is how it’s changed my mental health, energy and confidence for life.
I’ve turned my career, health and life around — and now I want to help other women do the same.
