Todays clean and Jerk practice turned into a full blown Michael Jackson comeback tour 😂 After seeing the film last weekend it’s been the main playlist.

My dancing skills are questionable but who cares when you’re enjoying yourself?

Fun fact you may not know about me… I actually sang in a funk and soul band for 7 years 🎤 so maybe that’s why the music takes over when I train 😂

And yes… dumbbells make a great microphone 😅

When the week has been full on, your energy’s been low, and you’re right at the end of your cycle… then suddenly you feel it — your strength coming back 🙌

Back under the bar working on split jerks, focusing on consistency… landing the bar and feet the same every single time. It’s not just about strength, it’s about precision, timing, and confidence.

30 lifts in total and don’t my shoulders and legs know about it! 😅🔥

And let’s be honest… throwing a barbell overhead?
It makes you feel pretty damn badass 💪

Slightly annoyed with myself as I forgot to book in for my HotYoga this evening which I could have done with after this !The joys of perimenopausal brain fog 😂

Wow… what a week!!! 💥

Lots of unilateral work going down this week for some of my clients — and it’s a big one. Training one side of the body at a time (think split squats, single-arm presses, single-leg RDLs) helps iron out imbalances, builds stability, improves coordination and core strength… and ultimately makes you stronger overall. No hiding, no compensating — just solid, balanced strength 🔥

We’ve been flipping tyres, putting in the graft, and I’m now genuinely struggling to choose my client for my clean & jerk and sn**ch assessment… because every single volunteer has been incredible! 🙌
Hopefully that means I’m doing something right as a coach 😉 The coaching practice has been amazing !

So proud of my lovely friend Helen today 💛

I had the pleasure of being part of her yoga training assessment… and she absolutely smashed it — passed with flying colours! 🧘‍♀️✨

And honestly… the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. A stunning location on a beautiful lake, birds singing, the sun shining — it was just one of those magical days that felt made for her 🌿☀️

The whole session was calm, relaxed and just a joy to be part of. Don’t get me wrong… she did test us a little with boat pose and goddess pose (🔥😅), but she delivered it all with such confidence and ease.

She was incredible. You could really see all the hard work she’s put in — it shone through in every moment.

I loved every second of it and couldn’t be prouder.

Congratulations Helen… you are now officially a yogi! 🙌 🧘‍♀️ 💫
