It's been a while since I had time to sit down and make anything but I have managed it! I have been asked to make a pendant so I thought I should do some practice stone setting first just to get back in the swing of things. This is a gorgeous intarsia cabochon made by . My first attempt at Mitsuro Hikime. It's a Japanese wax technique that involves pulling and folding the wax into itself over and over, much like stretching candy, until it forms unique striations and then it can be molded and cast. It's alot of fun but quite difficult to get right. The first ring is a chunky gents ring and the second a lovely knot ring, this one shows the texture much better. They are very natural and organic, I rather like it. More to come!

Do you remember the scrap silver that was melted down to be recycled a couple of months ago? I had only used half and today rolled out the other half and hammered it in to a gorgeous chunky cuff bracelet.

I haven't been in the workshop much since the start of the year, it's just too cold out there! But, with the longer days and (slightly) warmer weather comes tinkering and I have enjoyed it so much ☺️. I have lots of bits on my list that I would like to make so I had better get cracking 😂
