I’ve been paying Iylah £1 for every book she reads, and 50p for writing a little piece about what she took away from the story.

It took her 12 hours to finish The Twits… and this is what she wrote.

Children see straight through things. They don’t dress it up. They don’t justify bad behaviour. They notice fairness, kindness, respect and character without filters or ego.

She picked up on karma, on how you treat people, on personality showing through actions. Things some adults spend a lifetime unlearning and relearning.

There’s something powerful about the mind of a child.
Pure observation. Clear truth. No masks.

Sometimes the greatest reminders don’t come from books, teachers or healing work…
They come from listening to our children 💛
