We're excited to be taking part in National Manufacturing Day again on Thursday 25 September.

We’re back at West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services to welcome GCSE students (ages 13–16) from across the region to explore the world of manufacturing through engaging, hands-on experiences.

Students will get the opportunity to take part in interactive activities showcasing our services, including 3D printing, as well as learn about careers in manufacturing and essential employability skills.

Event Announcement - Northern MedTech Connect

Join Northern MedTech Connect for its second networking event on Thursday 25 September taking place at the 3M BIC in Huddersfield.

Northern MedTech Connect is a new initiative sparked by Laura Friedl-Hirst, Founder and Managing Director of LFH Regulatory, who is working alongside a group of peers to build a welcoming and collaborative community for MedTech professionals across the North.

Their events are designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and a space where ideas, connections and opportunities can flourish. Northern MedTech is all about creating a friendly, collaborative space for MedTech people across the North - perfect for anyone who is just getting started in MedTech or already scaling on a global stage.

A big welcome to MTT, our newest tenant at the 3M BIC.

Machine Tool Technologies (MTT) is the UK’s largest independent CNC machine tool support organisation. The company’s expertise in precision engineering, diagnostics and performance optimisation will bring valuable knowledge to the centre’s thriving community of advanced manufacturing and engineering companies.

In the early stages of developing its next-generation scalp cooling cap, Paxman turned to the University of Huddersfield and the 3M BIC for design support and technical expertise.

Working together, they created early 3D prototypes to test fit, comfort and performance – a crucial step in the development of Paxman’s world-leading system that helps cancer patients reduce hair loss during chemotherapy.
