From getting our thinking caps on for the quiz, to a peaceful and uplifting church service, enjoying wonderful live music, which of course resulted in lots of dancing and laughter 💃🎶— it’s been a weekend full of smiles, togetherness, and special moments.

We had the loveliest visit yesterday from Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party🐾💛
From cute and fluffy companions bringing smiles and gentle cuddles, to a very special tortoise peering out from its shell to say hello 🐢✨, there was joy all around.
Animals have such a calming, heart-warming way of brightening our day, our residents as well as the little kiddies at Little Munchkins absolutely loved every moment.

Pet therapy brings comfort, joy, and meaningful moments, and we’d love to share this special experience with residents, families, and friends from our community. Everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy some smiles, and spend time with our friendly animal visitors.

Pet therapy can be incredibly beneficial for people living with dementia.
It can help to reduce anxiety and agitation, provide comfort and reassurance, and encourage positive emotions such as joy and calmness. Spending time with animals often helps trigger memories and conversation, supporting communication and social interaction.

Word Cancer Day
🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍

Today at The Chase Care Home, our amazing staff are wearing their pyjamas or something green to raise money and awareness for World Cancer Day.

Today is especially close to our hearts. We care for incredible people who are living with cancer, overcoming cancer, or carrying the lasting effects of it with courage and strength every single day. They inspire us more than words can say.

Cancer also touches so many beyond our walls — loved ones, friends, colleagues, and families, past and present. Many of us have been affected, and many more sadly may be in the future.

Today we stand together in hope, remembrance, and solidarity with everyone whose life has been changed by cancer.

Thank you to our staff for getting involved and to everyone who continues to support this important cause. Together, we honour the fighters, remember those we’ve lost, and support those still on their journey.

We’ve been having so much fun at The Chase over the last few days! 🎉

From Lego building for National Lego Day 🧱 to a wonderful visit from The Norris Museum, plus quiz time, bingo, flower arranging, laughing yoga, and our exercise class — keeping active and smiling is always a priority here 💙

We also took time to celebrate the amazing talents within our staff team. A huge well done to our trainer Andrew Wrensch, who had residents and staff thoroughly entertained on the drums 🥁, and to Izzy, who delighted everyone by playing our piano, which was very kindly donated to us recently 🎹

What a fantastic few days full of laughter, creativity, and community spirit!
