🌿✨ A Whisper from the Secret Garden... ✨🌿

Deep within the blooming heart of The Chase, where the flowers hum secrets and the wind carries stories of old, something magical unfolded… 💫

We invited you ,our beloved community, young and old to step through the ivy-covered gates into our Secret Garden Party… and what a day it was! 🌸🌙

🧚‍♂️ From the moment you entered, the air shimmered with enchantment. Mystical friends danced through the trees, their laughter echoing like birdsong, guiding little feet and curious hearts on a journey of wonder.

🌳 The spellbinding Raw Divas brought their forest friends to life in a playful tale for the children.
🎶 Music floated like mist through the trees, inviting all to twirl, dance, and lose themselves in the rhythm of the enchanted woods.
🍃 Fairy-lit feasts, sweet forest treats, and tales spun under toadstool tents made us feel as if we’d wandered into a storybook.

It was a day where time stood still… where the garden bloomed not just with flowers, but with laughter, light, and the magic of togetherness.

Thank you to all the souls who joined us, you brought the magic to life. Until the next whisper calls you back to the garden… 🌺🕯🌙

We’re looking forward to the awards night on 7th November 2025 at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London. Congratulations to all the other finalists we are honoured to be in such inspiring company!

🎉 Exciting News from The Chase! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that The Chase is now the FIRST in our group to offer dedicated nursing care! 🩺💙

Last Friday, we officially launched nursing care with special celebration, joined by many wonderful guests including the The Mayor of Huntingdon - Cllr Audrey McAdam! It was a day full of joy, inspiration, and community spirit.

A highlight of the event was hearing from two of our amazing residents a former nurse and a former doctor who shared their heartfelt stories and reminded us just how powerful compassionate care can be.

We’re thrilled to take this next step in providing the highest level of support to our residents, and we look forward to continuing to lead the way in excellence and care. 💫

What a wonderful afternoon at The Chase!

In our lovely private dining room, the team sat down with residents for a 3-course meal, and listen to both of their remarkable life stories.

One, a former doctor, began her illustrious career in acute medicine in rural Asia, before moving back to the UK. She then went on to found a local charity, providing comfort and practical help to children and families navigating hospital or home-based care. For her outstanding contribution to medicine and charitable work she was awarded an OBE at Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty The Queen herself who she described as “fantastic, absolutely fantastic.”

The other is a veteran former nurse who came to the UK from in 1949. Serving for decades as a nurse at the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, she had the honour of assisting with the UK’s very first successful heart transplant operation. Despite wrestling with a tough language barrier when she first moved here, over the years she became a trusted mentor and role model for the hundreds of new nurses who passed through the hospital.

Their lives are a wonderful reminder of the values we share at The Chase dignity, compassion, and excellence in care. We’re so proud to have such inspiring women in our community!

The team also took the opportunity to pick the residents brains on the home’s step into Nursing which will officially open at a launch ceremony on Friday 5th September 2025. The home offers 24/7 advanced residential, respite, rehabilitation, palliative, and dementia care services for residents alongside the new Nursing venture. More on this to follow very soon!

Fabulous news!
The Chase Care Home are working with Wild About Huntingdon to organise some mini Wild About events!
We will have a range of organisations attending who will offer FREE fun, games, information, learning & photo opportunities. There will be an opportunity to purchase nature themed goodies or win tombola prizes, raising money for good causes.
There will also be Wild About giveaways including plants, seeds & homes for wildlife.
I'm so grateful to The Chase for their enthusiasm and for offering to host these mini events. They will also be providing snacks and drinks so it would be great if you could support us all.

What an inspiring day at The Chase!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Keith and Brian, who brought in their incredible handmade railway toy display. 🚂 Every detail was crafted with love and care, truly amazing to see!

They shared their passion for model trains with us, and even let us drive the model train! Watching the miniature world come to life was such a joy for everyone.

A big thank you for this fantastic experience we’re so grateful for the opportunity!

Buon Ferragosto🇮🇹

Summer is in full swing, and this year the weather has truly spoiled us.
Last weekend was full of celebration in a wonderful Italian style.

There was tiramisu, limoncello panna cotta and espresso/caramel shots.

We enjoyed fantastic fun, dancing, and a quiz about the Italian lifestyle.

And to top it all off, we had a bathing suit competition created by our residents.
Because when you think of Italy, you think of holidays and when you think of holidays, it’s all about the beach!

Thank you all for coming and for the amazing time together.

Dish of the Week at The Chase

Today at The Chase, we’re excited to share our Dish of the Week.
Following recent surveys to better understand our residents’ preferences, we received consistent requests for curry.

To start, we’re serving freshly made onion bhajis, paired with mint yogurt.

For the main course, we’ve added a delicious creamy chicken curry, served with assorted mini papadums and a side of mango chutney.
We’re always listening and adapting based on what our residents enjoy.

Chicken curry has its roots in South Asian cuisine, where a variety of spices and cooking techniques come together to create rich, flavourful dishes. Over time, it has become a beloved meal around the world, appreciated for its warmth, comfort, and versatility.

Every Sunday, our residents look forward to our much loved flower arranging sessions a beautiful tradition that brings creativity and connection.

Today, our Flower Queens took a special trip to the Rutland Flower Show to gather fresh inspiration from nature and the stunning displays.They returned tired but full of new ideas and excited energy for our next session!

We can’t wait to see what blooms next! 💐✨
