On Thursday in celebration of International Read to Me Day, The Chase Care Home had the pleasure of welcoming Little Munchkins for a truly special visit.

Our residents shared the joy of storytelling by reading to the children, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere filled with smiles, laughter, and imagination. The children sat beautifully on the carpet, listening so attentively and fully embracing each story, it was a joy to witness.

International Read to Me Day is a wonderful reminder of how important reading is in a child’s everyday life. It supports learning, development, language skills, and sparks creativity from an early age.
What made the day even more meaningful was the special bond formed between generations. Seeing our residents read so confidently and warmly to the children was truly heartwarming.

To all of our garden enthusiasts! 🧑‍🌾

I am delighted to officially launch Connaught in Bloom 2.0, new and improved!

For those who are new to this, this is a community wide project that brings creativity, collaboration, and community spirit together across Huntington .

We started last year with some incredible results in some tough circumstances with major droughts through the summer. This year we have moved to spring to allow all of your hard work to flourish 🌺

Planning is starting now for a project start at the end of March.

We are inviting all our devoted community followers to help us design and create the very best sensory garden in town 🪴 🪏

This is a wonderful opportunity to create something truly meaningful for both our residents living with Dementia, and the visiting members of the community, enhancing wellbeing through colour, texture, scent, and sound.

This activity is about teamwork and building relationships, as much as it is about the finished garden🪴

We are so excited !!! 🌺

We are delighted to congratulate Caroline on successfully completing their Level 3 Safeguarding Training 👏📚

As our Safeguarding Champion, Caroline plays an important role in helping to ensure that safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do within our home. This means being a key point of contact for safeguarding matters, supporting staff with best practice, promoting awareness, and helping to ensure that every resident remains safe, respected, and protected at all times.

Having a Safeguarding Champion benefits our home by strengthening our safeguarding culture, encouraging confidence among staff, residents, and families, and ensuring we continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone 🏡💙
