Since starting my organisation for women, one question that never stops coming up: “Is the CCTV in Redbridge actually manned?”

Yesterday, I finally visited the control centre and meet the team behind it.

They confirmed that the system is actively monitored to help keep women safer across Redbridge.

I spent two hours there and saw the set up firsthand; the camera quality is amazing and the team behind it are genuinely passionate about their role and safety of our community.

They explained that extra cameras have now been installed and additional work is being put in place to keep women safer.

A big thank you to the team for everything they do!

From 25th November for white ribbon day, we’ll be going into educational settings and out into the community across East London — doing outreach, speaking to boys and men and asking them to make the White Ribbon promise.
This marks 16 days of activism focused on challenging misogynistic behaviour and taking a stand against violence towards women and girls.
