It has however made me strong, more balanced and able to cope better with whatever life throws at me. I've trained with the best teachers in the world including Strala Yoga's Tara Stiles who is a huge influence on my laid back style of teaching. When it comes to leading yoga my mission is to make it fun, I can't deal with serious, pretentious classes where you are bombarded with irrelevant, mystical information. I want everything I deliver to overflow into your everyday life so when you are under pressure you have some tricks up your sleeve, otherwise what's the point? The result of this mindset is we have a great time and everyone leaves feeling good about themselves. There is nothing I love more than watching people literally melt as we start breathing to our full potential and moving! I lead sessions at my lovely yoga space at Grove Farm in Stanton-by-Dale and at village halls and work places in the East Midlands. I have a regular Thursday morning session in Draycott and monthly weekend workshops. I also lead Cosmic Kids yoga which is just so much fun. In my personal life I'm a busy mum with 4 year old Milo and my step sons 12 year old Oscar and Freddie who is 9. He's amazing, handsome, hard working, vibrant, although it is sometimes like having another child in the house when he wrestles with the boys at bedtime. There is way too much testosterone in our home! Anyway I do appreciate how hard it is to find balance when life is so hectic. Yoga and meditation personally helps me. It keeps me grounded and more able to cope. I tend to get up around 5.30am and jump on my mat. It is the only time I get alone and I make the most of it!
